Why buying home is better than renting

Cover your home loan with a credit shield insurance policy

August 16, 2019 by www.moneycontrol.com

Abhishek Bondia In the books of financiers, home loan is considered to be one of the safest debts. A home loan is fully backed by a collateral, which is 20 to 25 per cent higher in market value. Further, the quantum of loan to be sanctioned is ascertained based on the income-generating ability of the borrower and not the underlying asset. The latter is true for commercial loans. Australia PM defends housing pitch as election campaign enters final week

May 16, 2022 by www.theedgemarkets.com

- A + A SYDNEY (May 16): Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison on Monday defended his election pitch to allow first-time buyers to use part of their retirement savings to buy homes, in a bid to lure younger voters as the campaign entered its final week. Morrison, trailing in polls ahead of the national election on Saturday, put housing at the forefront of his election campaign amid criticism that the decision will further drive up prices forcing more people out of the market. "It's your money, you've earned it and you've saved it in your superannuation," Morrison told Channel Seven on Monday. Morrison said he did not see house prices rising from his policy, announced during the launch of the Liberal Party's campaign on Sunday. More money on deposit will lower mortgage payments providing an "added layer of comfort to our first home buyers," he said. Under Morrison's plan, first home buyers can dip into their retirement savings for up to A$50,000 (US$34,725) … [Read more...] about Australia PM defends housing pitch as election campaign enters final week

March 12, 2021 by www.moneycontrol.com

The government wants to promote more electric vehicles. That’s fine. But many youngsters, especially those under the age of 20, use e-bikes without having proper knowledge of the driver’s license and insurance. Many of these e-bikes can reach speeds of up to 25 kilometres an hour. Riders could  cause a damage to those on the road or to other vehicles. And there may not be a third-party insurance policy to cover the damage. The rider has to pay the compensation himself. If you ride an e-bike frequently, then here’s what you need to know about the insurance cover. My electric bike runs so slowly. Why do I need an insurance cover? Yes, many e-bikes have a speed limit. More than 90 percent of the electric vehicles on Indian roads (including cars) are low-speed electric scooters that travel at less than 25 km per hour. That isn’t exactly a snail’s pace and can knock someone down and cause some damage if you drive recklessly. Hence, aside from driving safe, it’s best to have an … [Read more...] about Explained: All about license and insurance requirements for e-bikes

April 5, 2022 by www.moneycontrol.com

While the average trend is negative, there are family firms across industries that have performed exceedingly well. (Photo by Mikhail Nilov/Pexels) By SOUGATA RAY, NUPUR PAVAN BANG, NAVNEET BHATNAGAR Concentrated ownership of a firm in the hands of a family presents unique opportunities and challenges that impact its performance. In India, family firms are a dominant force in the economy, contributing significantly to nation-building, the exchequer, creation of jobs and asset creation. May 15, 2022 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin It was a highly energized crowd that packed the Opry house in anticipation of Jamey Johnson receiving one of country music’s greatest honors – membership in the Grand Old Opry. For Johnson, who remembers listening to the Opry on his transistor radio as a kid, and who first appeared on the Opry as a guest performer in September of 2005, becoming an official member was a longtime dream come true. In an interview earlier in the week, he recalled first listening to the Opry on the radio after the release of the movie Smokey and the Bandit and the song “Eastbound and Down.” “Banjo picking was kind of a cool thing for a kid my age out in rural Alabama and that’s probably how I found the Opry. There was probably somebody on there playing the banjo and I just parked it right there to see what else we were going to hear. It wasn’t like I was a big fan of bluegrass, I just loved the sound of “Eastbound and Down.” He laughed, … [Read more...] about Jamey Johnson Becomes The Newest Member Of The Grand Ole Opry
