An Aston Martin team spokesman said the German had the bag stolen in the city after competing in Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix. “He tried to find it by using his iPhone to track his earphones which were in his bag, but when he located his earphones he found them abandoned and was therefore unable to locate his stolen bag,” he said. No further details were given other than that nobody was hurt. Spanish media reported the incident happened at around 0800 local time when Vettel momentarily left the bag unattended in an unlocked car. Missing COCs put off Congress’ canvassing of votes from Pampanga, Sultan Kudarat

BATASAN PLENARY HALL / INQUIRER FILE PHOTO MANILA, Philippines — Congress, sitting as the National Board of Canvassers (NBOC), on Tuesday night delayed the canvassing of votes for president and vice president from Pampanga and Sultan Kudarat as the certificates of canvass (COCs) are missing. The COCs from Pampanga were not found in the ballot boxes that were transmitted to the Senate, said Negros Occidental 4th District Rep. Juliet Marie De Leon Ferrer. “The COCs of Pampanga for President and Vice President is missing,” Ferrer said during the proceedings. With this, House Majority Leader Martin Romualdez moved to direct the secretariat to contact the provincial election supervisor of Pampanga province to locate the missing COCs. “May we direct our secretariat to contact the election officer in charge the prov elec superviosor of Pampanga so that we can determine the whereabouts and the condition of the COCs of Pampanga?” he said. Khairy named VP of next year’s World Health Assembly

Reports by MARTIN CARVALHO, RAHIMY RAHIM and TARRENCE TAN Expressing his gratitude for the unanimous nomination by delegates as vice-president, Khairy said the voice of the Western Pacific region would be brought to the world assembly. “Thank you to all the @WHOWPRO countries for unanimously nominating Malaysia as vice-president for WHA 2022. “We will bring the voice of the Western Pacific to the world assembly especially on the principles of equity, solidarity and accountability,” he said in a statement on Twitter.
