ARTISTS of all ages have come together to display their best works in Penang Art Society’s 69th Annual Exhibition titled “My Masterpiece”. Held at Penang State Art Gallery (PSAG) in Dewan Sri Pinang, George Town, there are oil, watercolour, acrylic and ink paintings, pencil sketches, batik, sculptures, photographs and mixed media works. These depict everything from natural landscapes to city scenes, culture, wildlife, flora, portraits and abstracts, offering insights into what inspires the 134 artists. Andrea Fuentes leapt in to rescue Team USA's Alvarez, who had sunk to the bottom of the pool and was not breathing after completing her routine during Wednesday night's solo free final. "It was a big scare. I had to jump in because the lifeguards weren't doing it," Fuentes was reported as saying by Spanish newspaper Marca. Cadaweng belongs to a group of weavers trying their hands at producing woven art for a project called, “Art Weave,” which features handwoven tapestries that interpret nine paintings being exhibited at this year’s crafts show, “Mandeko Kito” (Ibaloy for ‘Let’s sell’).
