Democratic lawmakers could vote this week on articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, the House Judiciary Committee chairman said on Sunday as lawmakers sharpened their focus on charges of wrongdoing in his dealings with Ukraine.U.S. Representative Jerrold Nadler said the panel will not decide on the specific articles until after a hearing on Monday to consider evidence gathered by the House Intelligence Committee in its investigation of the Republican leader."There are possible drafts that various people are writing," Nadler told CNN's "State of the Union." Bucking Trump’s FCC, New York introduces its own net neutrality bill
Since the FCC voted last week to abolish net neutrality regulations, California, Washington, and New York State have vowed to take up the cause. New York is one of the first out the gate. State Assemblymember Patricia Fahy—a Democrat whose district includes the capital, Albany—has drafted a short piece of legislation to introduce this week. It requires the state government, state agencies, and local governments (including New York City) to do business only with ISPs that adhere to net neutrality principles of no blocking or slowing down access to any legal content. Nor can they allow paid prioritization, or offer content providers premium-priced “fast lanes” for better service. “If you are going to be a contractor and want to work with New York, then you must meet the principles,” Fahy tells Fast Company. She created an image of three fists, in various skin tones, each embellished with nail polish. This so-called “Femme Fist” print went viral on Instagram. Eventually Pardue plastered this image on merchandise, which she sold through her new brand For All Womankind, donating profits to worthy causes. Nike Reveals Recovered Emails, Texts In Lawsuit Against Former Designers
The lawsuit between Nike and three designers–Marc Dolce, Mark Miner, and Denis Dekovic, who turned in their swoosh to start a hip new design studio for rival Adidas–is starting to heat up. After filing a $10 million lawsuit against the designers on Monday, the Portland-based footwear company has submitted new evidence to the court that cast Dekovic in a negative light, citing computer forensic evidence to show a conspiracy was afoot. advertisement advertisement According to court filings obtained by The Oregonian, after the three Adidas designers announced that they would be leaving the company, Nike executive Holly Hearn packed up their company laptops, hard drives, and thumb drives, and turned them over to CyTech Services, a Virginia company specializing in computer forensics.
