- A + A KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 20): The Government of Malaysia, together with the Minister of Finance Inc (MoF Inc), 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) and four of its subsidiaries had informed the High Court that they have withdrawn their suit against partners of the audit firm KPMG. This came after a notice of discontinuance had been filed by the plaintiffs, through Messrs Shearn Delamore & Co, on Jan 14 to withdraw the suit. “Note that the plaintiffs are withdrawing this action against the defendants without any order as to cost and without liberty to re-file,” read the notice sighted by The Edge . Because the suit was withdrawn, the case management of the KPMG suit, which was scheduled earlier on Thursday (Jan 20) before High Court deputy registrar Idamasliza Maarof, was vacated.
