I want to bring different audiences and for them to have communal experiences in a shared space.” He clarifies: “This is what museums do best.” As director and chief executive of the Design Museum in London, a position he’s held since 2019, he’s in a prime spot to achieve this. I’m meeting Marlow at the museum west of the city in Kensington, housed in the former Grade II* listed Commonwealth Institute. A curious building with its place in time, it opened in 1962 to inform and educate about the Commonwealth of Nations. A former U.S. Marine was seriously wounded Sunday after a Palestinian terrorist shot at his car with his family inside, according to The Times of Israel. David Stern, a former Marine and weapons instructor, was driving in the West Bank with his wife and children Sunday when a Palestinian man began shooting at the car. Stern was shot in the head but managed to shoot the gunman, who was later apprehended by the Israeli Defense Forces, according to The Times of Israel. Bickerstaff said that Allen “participated in everything” the team did during its session. The practice comes on the same day the Cavs are traveling to Brooklyn for two games in three days against the Nets. "He'll be with us [in Brooklyn],” Bickerstaff said. “And again, like I said, he participated today and we'll see how he responds tomorrow." He added that Allen will not need to wear protective goggles when he does return. Allen has missed four games after suffering a right eye contusion on March 10 late in a game against the Miami Heat. Made entirely of Lego, “Water Lilies #1” is a recreation of one of the most famous paintings by the French Impressionist. By choosing Monet, and working with industrial materials and pigments, the renowned Chinese artist and activist wants us to challenge our notion of reality and beauty. At over 15m long and made from nearly 650,000 studs of Lego bricks in 22 colors, “Water Lilies #1” is Ai’s most considerable Lego work to date.
