PHUKET: Police are keeping a close eye out for gambling during the World Cup, and yesterday nabbed one suspect and five computers in a raid in Patong. “We were notified by an undercover officer of an illegal online gambling den in a retail shop on Soi Paradise,” Lt Col Sutthichai Thianpho of the Patong Police told the Phuket Gazette . “We raided the shop and found computers set up for gambling in the back room.” The shop owner, known only as “Mr Lee”, and gamblers fled the scene when police arrived, said Col Sutthichai, but officers were able to capture an employee, 47-year-old Lae Choomjit. Prior to his work as a bass music heavyweight champion, he was a hockey player who traveled around the United States and Canada. From when he was three until he was 19 years old, the producer played hockey, and his goal was to become a professional player. “I pretty much spent every waking second of my life training and playing hockey,” he says. “Any chance I got to explore anything outside of sports at that time in my life was overshadowed by my hockey ambitions and goals.” While Capuozzo had musical opportunities when he was younger, they “faded out” and weren’t a priority for him. MANILA, Philippines  -Billionaire Andrew Tan’s Megaworld Corp. is set to complete a P5.3-billion asset infusion of Grade A offices into real estate investment trust (REIT) arm MREIT Inc., boosting the latter’s asset base and earnings. MREIT said in a stock exchange filing the transaction, announced nearly a year ago, will proceed after the Securities and Exchange Commission confirmed the premium valuation of the properties. The office building are projects within Megaworld’s townships in Iloilo City and Taguig City in Metro Manila. These were the Festive Walk 1B and Two Global Center in Iloilo Business Park and One West Campus and Five West Campus in McKinley West, Taguig City. MREIT said it will start recognizing income from the properties “from the start of the first quarter of 2023.” The four properties have a combined gross leasable area (GLA) of 44,567 square meters.
