Another thing I need when I travel is a clock. And nowadays it’s just a piece of Wolfram Language code running on my computer. But because it’s software, it can have a few extra features. I always leave my computer on my home time zone, so the “clock” has a slider to specify local time (yes, if I’m ever in a half-hour time zone again I’ll have to tweak the code). It also has a button labeled “Start sleep timer.” When I press it, it starts a count-up timer, which lets me see how long I’ve been asleep, whatever my biological clock may say. (“Start sleep timer” also sends an email, which gives my assistant an idea of whether or not I’ll make it to that early-next-morning meeting.
