Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin There are countless ways for one to connect with a destination. For the gastronome, local flavors are telling of a country’s diverse culinary culture. Art and design enthusiasts will most likely head to museums, architectural landmarks and gallery spaces as a means for enriching the travel experience. New Pompeii Discoveries Shed Light On Middle-Class Roman Lifestyle

August 9, 2022 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Excavations at Italy’s archeological park of Pompeii have shed light on the lives of the lower and middle classes in the ancient city, situated near modern-day Naples. The discovery of several rooms containing furniture and household objects gives an insight into a stratum of society hitherto little investigated. It is part of site director Gabriel Zuchtriegel’s push to reveal more about the lives of ordinary citizens when the violent volcanic eruption of 79 AD wiped out the city. Pompeii excavations reveal household life moments before disaster struck The latest finds are part of an excavation project into a series of rooms in a domus (home) that began in 2018. The rooms are located in the House of Lararium, named for the discovery in 2018 of a room called a lararium devoted to protective domestic spirits called lares. Why Glenmorangie Rebranded

August 9, 2022 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin When LVMH purchased Scottish whisky distillery Glenmorangie in 2004, for a cool for £300 million ($362 million), it didn’t seem entirely in-line with the company’s portfolio. While the Moët Hennessy empire was already packed with many award-winning and respected liquids, Glenmorangie felt a tad, well, traditional, in comparison. And it showed in the numbers; profits fell as the blended companies found their flow—only to be lifted after a minor rebrand in 2007. The company introduced a new, curvaceous shape to set the brand apart from other scotches on the market, positioning itself as a premium and international brand. And the rest, as they say, is history. Thanks to savvy marketeering and growing consumer interest in whisky, The Glenmorangie Company recorded its best-ever sales performance at the start of the year, revealed plans to invest “tens of millions of pounds" per year to ensure it meets demand from … [Read more...] about Why Glenmorangie Rebranded
