Recently Airbnb hosted the Africa Travel Summit in Langa/Cape Town, South Africa, at Guga S’thebe. By Michael Cabanatuan Updated 5:54 pm PDT, Wednesday, September 19, 2018 An average weekday in downtown San Francisco can already feel claustrophobic, so what happens when 170,000 additional people flood into a relatively small patch of the city? Conference registration day is Monday and events last through Sept. 28. Lines will abound — on the streets and the sidewalks, as well as in lunch spots and watering holes anywhere within a few blocks of Moscone Center. And for those just dropping into town and are trying to find a hotel, well, good luck. The workshop creates a venue for African embassies in Vietnam and the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) to explore future cooperation opportunities, he added. He pledged to support the VUFO to connect with MSMEs to implement different projects between African nations and Vietnam. Established in 1992, the SADC now has 15 members with a combined population of nearly 300 million. The total investment poured into Africa over the past decade was 500 billion USD, he said, adding that the potential in the southern African region, especially the … [Read more...] about Vietnam, southern African countries share experience in developing MSMEs
