0 Have your say Owners of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are being urged to take a break – to avoid burnout and wider disruption to the UK economy – after a new survey has found bosses are going without a holiday for several years. Simply Business, a provider of SME business insurance in the UK, has today revealed that time pressures and money concerns mean that 9 per cent of SME-owners – equivalent to more than half a million – haven’t had a holiday in as long as five years.The firm said the survey of 500-plus such firms “paints a worrying picture of a nation struggling with the pressures of running a business alongside commitments outside of work”. FOLLOWING last week's column on how to protect/insure yourself and particularly if you have a business, we had a number of calls asking how a business is at risk if there was a death of a key person/owner.Being a business owner carries its never-ending responsibilities. Future 50 Live at the UEA Enterprise Centre, Norwich.Sixteen more companies from across Norfolk and Suffolk have been announced as some of the region's rising business stars. Now a total of 31 businesses have been announced, only 19 spaces remain. EVFTA opens new era in Vietnam-EU trade ties: Italian experts The factory of the Far Eastern New Apparel Vietnam company in Bac Dong Phu Industrial Park, Binh Phuoc province The EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) is hoped to usher in a new period in promoting cooperation and mutual economic development between the two sides as it comes into effect in mid-2019, according to Italian experts. In a recent interview granted to Vietnam News Agency’s correspondent in Italy, Vietnam’s Honorary Consul in Turin Sandra Scagliotti and Chairman of the Italy-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce Fulvio Albano stressed that the new-generation agreement may mark the beginning of a new era in trade relations between Vietnam and the EU. Negotiations and the legal review have been completed for both the free trade agreement and the one on investment protection.
