The funeral of veteran Hong Kong actor Kenneth Tsang was held on Tuesday (May 17) in a low-key manner after he was found dead in a quarantine hotel in Hong Kong on April 27. He was 87. According to the Hong Kong media, the actor's funeral was attended by his wife, actress Lisa Chiao Chiao; his daughter Musette Tsang from his second marriage with columnist Barbara Tang; Tang and her husband Franco Yuen. Also in attendance were Tsang's good friends such as veteran actor Bowie Wu and actress Helen Ma. Musette Tsang told the media previously that her half-brother, Kenneth Tsang's son from his first marriage to late actress Landi Chang, was based in Canada and would not be returning to Hong Kong to attend the funeral partly due to the territory's quarantine measures. North Korea reports more deaths, says taking ‘swift measures’ against Covid-19 outbreak
SEOUL, May 15 (Reuters): North Korea said on Sunday a total of 42 people had died as the country began its fourth day under a nationwide lockdown aimed at stopping the impoverished country's first confirmed Covid-19 outbreak. North Korea's admission on Thursday that it is battling an "explosive" Covid-19 outbreak has raised concerns that the virus could devastate a country with an under-resourced health system, limited testing capabilities and no vaccine programme. State news agency KCNA said the country was taking "swift state emergency measures" to control the epidemic, but there is no sign that Pyongyang was moving to accept international offers of vaccines. Seniors are pushing back against ageism on TikTok
TikTok has a reputation for being the playground of young people – and for good reason. However, an increasing number of seniors are giving the Chinese social network a go, often encouraged by their children and grandchildren. And the trend is offering old age a new image. Technophobic, frail, cantankerous, senile... Age-related stereotypes are hard to eradicate. They can be particularly detrimental to women, for whom the fact of aging and seeing their body change remains a source of concern. But a surprising boost could come via TikTok and could help them see things differently, according to a study recently published in the journal The Gerontologist . Professor Reuben Ng and Nicole Indran found that older people are increasingly using TikTok, the preferred app of the younger generations.
