Sunday Conversation: Mandy Moore On The End Of ‘This Is Us,’ New Music, Joni Mitchell And Emmy Buzz
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin This Is Us fans might not be anywhere near ready for the beloved NBC show to end this Tuesday, May 24. But series star Mandy Moore, who plays the family's matriarch, Rebecca Pearson, has had her coping mechanism in place for some time. "It was a very intentional plan to finish the show and have some new music out and be able to go on the road immediately," Moore tells me. " I'm excited, because I feel like I'll be able to take this time to really process this very seminal chapter that's closing, and be able to use the music and being able to play songs every night as a way to process what I just lived through instead of being a shell in the fetal position in my bedroom. I get to go out and do something." The show wraps this Tuesday and Moore will be out on the road by June 10 in Atlanta in support of her superb new album, In Real Life . She is excited for many reasons, including the fact this is her first full tour in … [Read more...] about Sunday Conversation: Mandy Moore On The End Of ‘This Is Us,’ New Music, Joni Mitchell And Emmy Buzz
61-Year-Old Professor Faces Suspension For Starring In HARDCORE PORN With College-Aged Women
A 61-year-old chemical engineering professor has reportedly been suspended from his job for appearing in a series of porn films with women roughly 40 years younger than he is. The professor and porn thespian is Nicholas Goddard, reports Metro, a tabloid newspaper out of the United Kingdom . By day, for over two decades, Goddard has belonged to the faculty at the University of Manchester. From his academic perch, he has published myriad scholarly papers. For 10 years or so, Goddard has also been moonlighting in the porn industry as “Old Nick.” The specialty of the sexagenarian — absolutely no pun intended — is sex romps with young porn starlets. Goddard’s smut films include “Blonde teen Lexi gets fucked by Old Nick” and “Busty teen Lolly fuck old Nick outdoors.” The collection of skin flicks, collectively called “Beauty and the Senior,” has been viewed by over a million avid porn consumers on websites such as Pornhub. An intrepid reporter from the Daily Mail, another … [Read more...] about 61-Year-Old Professor Faces Suspension For Starring In HARDCORE PORN With College-Aged Women
After US$5 tril rout, emerging markets seek turnaround signal
- A + A (May 23): The wreckage of a US$5 trillion rout in emerging markets is starting to look like a buying opportunity to some intrepid investors. The pain points are all too obvious: Stocks have fallen below their average valuations of the past 17 years. Local-currency bond yields have soared through a range that’s held since the 2008 crisis. Spreads on dollar bonds are close to thresholds seen only during times of distress. After 15 months of capital outflows, emerging markets are at an advanced stage of pricing in the risks. For some money managers, that means it’s time to start buying again — not in a bullish outburst, but in gradual, cautious steps. Still, the risk of deeper losses remains, especially if China’s economy slows further or the Federal Reserve turns more hawkish. “We have reduced our bearishness on the emerging-market asset class,” said Paul Greer, a money manager at Fidelity International in London. “While fundamentals remain very … [Read more...] about After US$5 tril rout, emerging markets seek turnaround signal
Coach Ghicka Bernabe ‘confused’ over judging system as NU Pep Squad gets bronze
NU Pep Squad during the UAAP Season 84 Cheerdance Competition. UAAP PHOTO MANILA, Philippines — National University PEP squad coach Ghicka Bernabe stressed she is not questioning their third place finish that ended its two-season reign, but she couldn’t stop wondering about the change in the judging system of the 2022 UAAP Cheerdance Competition. Long regarded as the standard of the midseason extravaganza after winning six of the last seven seasons with its fast-paced stunts, the NU PEP Squad failed to complete its “three-peat” and settled for bronze on Sunday at Mall of Asia Arena. But for the multi-titled coach, her team did well. “I think my team did really well. If there’s a wobble in the segment of our stunts, I don’t think it will affect the routine entirely. I’m just being honest. Being in this industry for how many years, I don’t want to question the results but I believe my team did well,” Bernabe lamented. The NU PEP Squad scored 681 points with six-point penalty … [Read more...] about Coach Ghicka Bernabe ‘confused’ over judging system as NU Pep Squad gets bronze
