What to Do With All That Inventory You Can’t Sell
Last week, I wrote about how to avoid ending up with inventory you cannot sell . But let's say that's exactly what you have: A garage stacked with boxes of product you thought consumers needed, but have had trouble getting off your hands. In my experience, this is not uncommon. For more than 15 years now, I've been hearing a version of the story below. You have this great idea for a new product you believe everyone wants. So you file a patent application, which, after it issues and all is said and done, ends up costing you about $15,000. You work with a manufacturer overseas to produce the minimum amount required for an order, which runs you between $20,000 and $50,000. You pay a professional to help you set up your website and begin selling on Amazon, which you perceive to be a low-cost course of action. All in all, by the time you're in business, you've made a major financial investment. But without the marketing to back it up, the reality is, finding your … [Read more...] about What to Do With All That Inventory You Can’t Sell

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin By Nathan Resnick Sending out a press release is a great way to get significant attention for your company. While the majority of journalists use press releases as a source for news, standing out in today’s digital environment can be difficult. Wall Street sheds opening gains on losses in high-growth stocks
- A + A NEW YORK/BENGALURU (June 27): Wall Street's main indexes fell after opening higher on Monday, as a rally last week on easing concerns over inflation lost steam, with high-growth stocks leading declines. "We had a nice rally last week, so I think we're seeing a little bit of profit taking this morning," said Dennis Dick, a proprietary trader at Bright Trading LLC in Las Vegas. "The stocks that were up the most last week are the ones getting hit the hardest here today." The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite index, which gained 7.5% last week, fell 0.7% to lead declines among the three major indexes. Investors were betting on the retreat in oil prices from the three-month highs hit in June to potentially ease inflationary pressures and likely push the Federal Reserve to moderate its aggressive policy tightening. However, data on Monday showed new orders for US-made capital goods and shipments increased solidly in May, pointing to sustained strength in business … [Read more...] about Wall Street sheds opening gains on losses in high-growth stocks

Chinese Media Suggests US Is About To Boil Over With Conflict After SCOTUS Decision
Chinese state-run media appeared to suggest Monday that the U.S. had reached a political boiling point in the wake of the Supreme Court’s recent decision overturning Roe v. Wade. Following the Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision on Friday, which effectively grants states the authority to regulate abortion, Chinese state-run media outlet Global Times cited experts to cast the verdict as a fundamental betrayal of Americans’ human rights. The Chinese state media outlet article went on to speculate that America’s supposed deep political divide also threatens to potentially result in a civil war. “[The Supreme Court’s decision] is a great denial of American people’s basic human rights,” Diao Daming, associate professor at the Renmin University, told Global Times. “It is clearly a historical regression.” (RELATED: Big Business Fights Bill Intended To Stop Selling America Out To China) The Chinese state-run media report follows less than two weeks after the European Parliament passed a … [Read more...] about Chinese Media Suggests US Is About To Boil Over With Conflict After SCOTUS Decision
Bruised bitcoin due relief after crypto wipeout, charts show
- A + A (June 27): The wipeout in Bitcoin may have run its course, a range of technical indicators suggest. Momentum measures and insights from options bets signal ebbing selling pressure and a possible trading range of US$20,000 to US$25,000 — though the usual caveats apply about the mercurial nature of cryptocurrencies. The largest digital token has slumped about 70% from a November record and was little changed at US$21,343 as of 8:38 a.m. Monday in London. It slid below US$18,000 earlier this month, before retaking the closely watched US$20,000 level. Tightening monetary policy, withering speculative ardor and collapsing digital-asset projects have spurred a broad crypto rout in 2022. But the mood in global markets is turning less dour on tentative hopes that the price pressures driving interest-rate hikes may be cresting. The lessons of Bitcoin’s past swoons suggest it’s in the vicinity of its bear-market low, according to Glassnode. This “bear market is now … [Read more...] about Bruised bitcoin due relief after crypto wipeout, charts show
China stocks approach bull market as investors catch up on gains
- A + A (June 27): Chinese stocks extended gains into a fifth week, bringing them close to a bull market, as investors turned increasingly upbeat amid eased pandemic curbs in Shanghai. Tech shares also rallied in Hong Kong to the highest in nearly four months. The recent rebound in Chinese equities, which started in April while stocks elsewhere were still selling off, is gaining momentum thanks to an improving economic outlook as well as persistent monetary and fiscal stimulus. President Xi Jinping's planned visit to Hong Kong is boosting stocks that would benefit from easing pandemic restrictions such as Macau casinos. The benchmark CSI 300 Index gained 1.1%, adding 4% in three sessions, led by consumer shares, as Shanghai's leader declared victory in defending the financial hub against Covid-19 and will this week allow residents to dine in restaurants in some areas deemed lower risk.
