Salesforce wants to let people do more talking and less typing. Last year, the company introduced a voice interface for its customer relationship management software that lets you talk through a variety of common tasks, like updating notes after a client meeting. Users who are conscientious about logging their activity “don’t want to go back to their computer,” says Salesforce president Brett Taylor. “They might want to do that from their car, from their smart speaker, even a microphone within their car.” At today’s Dreamforce mega-convention in San Francisco, Salesforce is unveiling an expansion of its voice platform resembling Amazon’s Alexa in two ways. Chinese hackers are some of the best in the world, and several of them recently participated in a network security contest titled the Tianfu Cup. The event is China’s version of the Pwn2Own, a popular computer hacking contest. The Tianfu Cup is considered as China’s most elite competitive cybersecurity event. The organisers of the cup included, Alibaba, Tencent, Baidu, Qihoo 360 and other Chinese tech companies.Over the weekend, a number of participating teams hacked into some of the world’s most popular web browsers, Wi-Fi routers and other software. The hackers tested vulnerabilities hidden in several popular apps, including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Apple's Safari. Infosys' head of manufacturing Nitesh Banga has quit the IT major to join product engineering services company GlobalLogic. In the newly-created position at GlobalLogic, Banga will look after delivery, operations, talent recruitment and management, information technology and investment strategy. Banga will directly report to GlobalLogic CEO Shashank Samant.According to his LinkedIn profile, Banga has been at Infosys at least since 2007, and served in various capacities since then.
