Miami remains interested in a deal for Russell Westbrook, but only if the price is right. According to the Miami Herald, the Heat informed the Oklahoma City Thunder during preliminary talks that rookie shooting guard Tyler Herro and center Bam Adebayo are not available. Westbrook, 30, could be traded to another franchise, with the Detroit Pistons, Houston Rockets and New York Knicks among those reported to be showing interest. Yet, Klay Thompson could not help but convey his annoyance both with words and body language over not being named on an All-NBA team. First, Thompson rolled his eyes when informed that Charlotte guard Kemba Walker made the All-NBA third team over him. So much for all that. “Now it’s a shift: what we can get at four,” Pelinka said, less than an hour after the Lakers had defied the 9.4-percent odds to jump into the top four of the draft. “I will say there are some incredibly talented impact players there that we are going to study deeply.” The June 20 draft in Brooklyn will be headlined by New Orleans’ expected selection of Duke forward Zion Williamson. Two other heralded prospects – Murray State’s Ja Morant and Duke’s R.J. Barrett – are expected to be taken in the top … [Read more...] about Who could the Lakers take No. 4 in the NBA Draft?

One example he gave during his announcement was that he couldn’t congratulate Russell Westbrook when he dropped 20-20-20 last week.“That was a great feat the other day, and I couldn’t even tweet it out and say, ‘Hey, congratulations man,’” Johnson said, via the Los Angeles Times. “If I had did that, everybody would have been, ‘Oh he’s … [Read more...] about Lakers’ Magic Johnson steps down
