When the Founder of This $90 Million Beverage Company Needs Advice, These Are the Women She Turns To

October 26, 2017 by www.inc.com

A lot has happened in the dozen years since Kara Goldin founded Hint Water in 2005. The maker of unsweetened flavored waters has won shelf space in grocers from Target to Whole Foods, seen Hint become a staple in startup fridges, and raised money from about a hundred angel investors, including John Legend. If that sounds like a lot, Goldin freely admits so. But when she gets stuck, she knows exactly where to turn: a high-level network of women who help her think through all types of business challenges, especially those in marketing and distribution. "Not one of my advisers has beverage experience. There's a reason for that," says Goldin. "But they say as a CEO it's often lonely, and when I'm trying to figure out how to solve a problem, it's nice to be able to call on people who aren't in it with you every day." For the most part, these aren't women who Goldin has personally sought out. Instead, they've been introduced to her by other people whom she respects. SHEFFIELD: Democrats Prove Yet Again Why They’re The Masters Of Torpedoing America’s Economy

August 11, 2022 by dailycaller.com

We received another sign today that the astronomical inflation not seen in 40 years is slightly declining. Yet Democrats at this vulnerable time want to ram through a massive, $768 billion tax-and-spend bill that will unravel progress against painfully high price hikes. Today the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that wholesale inflation, tracked in the Producer Price Index for final demand, fell 0.5% in July–this following Wednesday’s Consumer Price Index report dropping slightly to 8.5% in July from 9.1% in June. (RELATED: BASILE: In The Swamp Everyone Finds A Way To Win) The producer price index measures final-demand wholesale prices and dropped slightly in July largely because of falling energy prices. Despite the monthly drop, the PPI still saw a sharp year-over-year gain of 9.8%. The annual increase was the lowest since October 2021 and the monthly move was the first decline since April 2020. Throughout this inflation crisis, it’s become evident that we have a … [Read more...] about SHEFFIELD: Democrats Prove Yet Again Why They’re The Masters Of Torpedoing America’s Economy

Global youth unemployment set to slip to 73 million in 2022: UN

FILE PHOTO: Thousands of job seekers and former OFWs troop to the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City for the DOLE- DTI organized summer job fair. (March 26, 2018 / INQUIRER/ MARIANNE BERMUDEZ) Geneva, Switzerland — The total global number of unemployed youths should fall to 73 million in 2022, down by two million from the year before, the United Nations said Thursday. However, the figure is still six million higher than the pre-pandemic level of 2019, with the recovery in youth unemployment lagging behind the bounceback in other age groups, the UN’s International Labor Organization said. Between 2019 and 2020, those aged 15 to 24 experienced a much higher percentage loss in employment than the rest of the labor market, the ILO said in a report. Their 300-page “Global Employment Trends for Youth 2022” update on key youth labor market indicators and trends said the pandemic exacerbated the market challenges generally facing young people. Many dropped out of the labor force, or … [Read more...] about Global youth unemployment set to slip to 73 million in 2022: UN

SHEFFIELD: American Wages Are Being Crushed And Beltway Elites Couldn’t Care Less

August 10, 2022 by dailycaller.com

There’s a deep disconnect between regular people and Beltway elites who are far removed from everyday suffering. No matter how Democrats will positively spin the slight drop in painful consumer price inflation announced today ( from 9.1% in June to 8.5% in July ), Americans are enduring a national pay cut due to wage growth that is far below inflation. Real average hourly earnings fell 3.6% from July 2021 to July 2022, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics . With a nearly 4% pay cut, it’s no wonder Americans are loading up on credit card debt , at a record not seen in 20 years, to pay for this inflation. (RELATED: HICKS: Democrats Are Rolling Out Yet Another Bidenflation Scam) The energy index rose 32.9% over the last year, and the food index increased 10.9% – both are the largest 12-month increases in over two decades. Americans already can’t afford the things they need by the end of the month, but Democrats’ answer is to make matters worse.
