PETALING JAYA: An on-sea refuelling operation in Hawaii waters by the Royal Malaysian Navy’s KD Lekir was conducted successfully. The Katsuri-class corvette, on assignment there as part of the Rim of the Pacific (Rimpac) 2022 exercise, conducted the underway replenishment (UNREP) at sea with USNS Henry J. Kaiser on June 26. “The Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) ship met with the American oiler in Hawaiian waters off Oahu Island on Sunday afternoon (June 26), after almost two weeks of non-stop sailing in the Pacific Ocean. “KD Lekir is Malaysia’s second representative in Rimpac after KD Lekiu took part in 2018,” the Royal Malaysian Navy said on its Facebook page on Monday (June 27). It added that the ship, led by commander Mohd Asri bin Dasman, would be conducting a missile-firing exercise during Rimpac’s sea phase. Rimpac will be conducted from June 29 to Aug 4, seeing participants from 26 nations. Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Will the overturn of Roe v. Wade have implications for gender equality in the workplace? While the Supreme Court decision is bound to penalize women’s health rights , it can also negatively affect the work culture. A slow-moving effort—men are still paid more and are more likely to hold managerial roles, yet women are better educated—closing the gender gap remains an elusive goal. June 25, 2022 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin It was a momentous announcement over the last few months – Toyota’s first all-electric car, the bZ4X, was launched in the UK , having arrived in the USA in April and Japan in May. After the Japanese company’s feet-dragging and negativity towards EVs, in favor of hydrogen, it felt like an “if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em” moment. It might be the first ding the death knell for fuel-cell vehicles, but there is another factor that could kill hydrogen stone dead except where you absolutely must use it. Although the bZ4X’s launch has already been significantly marred by a recall , the car has potential. Its headline act is the battery warranty, which is for ten years or a million kilometers (620,000 miles). This will reassure the naysayers who go on about “having to change the battery after three years” (because they think an EV is the same as a smartphone).
