This beer brand turned printing error into prize draw, sold 1 crore litres a month

June 6, 2022 by www.moneycontrol.com

The cans with the printing error bore the company slogan ‘Disfrute’ -- which means "enjoy" -- but without the "s". (Image credit: @frankramirezp/Twitter) Last year, when Heineken-owned beer brand Tres Cruces was about to launch its Tres Cruces Light in Peru, it shipped 3 lakh cans of the liquor to its retailers before realising that there was a printing error on the packaging. The cans bore the company slogan ‘Disfrute’ -- which means "enjoy" -- but without the "s". But, instead recalling the cans ahead of the launch, Tres Cruces turned it into an opportunity and gave customers the chance to win a prize if they located a can with the faulty slogan, reported creative marketing service Contagious . Between 1 April and 30 April 2021, those finding cans with the missing ‘S’ were asked to post their details on a dedicated microsite with the code printed at the bottom of the can. June 25, 2022 by www.theedgemarkets.com

- A + A KUALA LUMPUR (June 25): The ringgit is expected to appreciate slightly while moving in a tight range at around 4.40 against the greenback next week on mixed market sentiments, said an economist. Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd chief economist Mohd Afzanizam Abdul Rashid said key data points from the US would be the core personal consumption expenditure inflation for May as well as the house price index, that is the S&P Case Shiller Index, which is likely to stay elevated. “The context will continue to revolve around rising inflationary pressures which necessitate the US Federal Reserve to remain hawkish in its monetary stance. “The latest Consumer Price Index print for Malaysia, which rose to 2.8% in May 2022 from 2.3% in May 2021, suggests Bank Negara Malaysia might be inclined to increase the overnight policy rate (OPR) in order to close the gap with the inflation rate,” he told Bernama. He also said a possible OPR rise would provide some support to the … [Read more...] about Ringgit likely to appreciate but to trade range-bound next week

September 12, 2020 by www.investopedia.com

Dow component American Express Company ( AXP ) is trading higher by less than a point on Thursday morning after beating first quarter earnings per share (EPS) expectations by four cents and meeting revenue expectations at $10.36 billion. Year-over-year revenues rose a respectable 6.6% after a 7.9% increase in the fourth quarter. The company reaffirmed 2019 guidance as it did in early April, expecting $7.85 to $8.35 EPS and 8% to 10% revenue growth. American Express stock reversed within 30 cents of the 2018 high near $114 after Apple Inc.'s ( AAPL ) Apple Card release in March, indicating that shareholders are worried the initiative will take market share from credit services giant.
