The prince will succeed his mother as head of the organization -- an association of independent states that emerged out of the ashes of the British Empire. Saudi crown prince visits Turkey as countries normalise ties
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is scheduled to arrive in Ankara on June 22, making his first visit to Turkey as the two regional heavyweights press ahead with efforts to repair ties following the slaying of Saudi columnist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul. The crown prince will meet President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the last leg of a Middle East tour that also took him to Egypt and Jordan. His visit comes before U.S. President Joe Biden’s trip to the region next month. Erdogan said talks with the prince, who is commonly referred to by his initials MBS, would focus on advancing Turkish-Saudi relations to a much higher degree. White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan reportedly discussed Saudi Arabia normalizing relations with Israel while meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in September, three unnamed U.S. and Arab sources told Axios. Sullivan met bin Salman on Sept. 27 in Neom, a futuristic planned city on Saudi Arabia ‘s Red Sea coast, where he broached the idea, Axios reported . Sources said bin Salman didn’t rule it out, responding that more time was needed and providing Sullivan a list of demands that had to be taken care of beforehand. The Saudis reportedly highlighted the need for an improvement in U.S.-Saudi relations, an American source told Axios. Over Cooper's tenure, Warner Music Group's revenues nearly doubled, to US$5.3 billion in fiscal 2021 from US$2.9 billion a decade earlier.
