India needs to review Green Hydrogen policy in view of incentives offered by other countries: Sumant Sinha of ReNew Power

February 8, 2023 by www.moneycontrol.com

As of now, corporates are going for clean electricity as step one, but eventually there will be other opportunities to decarbonise their entire operations, said ReNew Power MD Sumant Sinha The incentives and subsidies being planned by other countries for green hydrogen manufacturing are going to pose a stiff challenge for India if it does not review its strategy, said ReNew Power’s chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) Sumant Sinha. Korean design jumps on the K-history bandwagon with traditional motifs

February 5, 2023 by koreajoongangdaily.joins.com

"Good Luck Fish," lifestyle brand 2nd universe's updated version of the dried pollack tied with silk yarn tradition [2ND UNIVERSE] The city of Seoul has a fantastic collision of old and new. In between its modern buildings, the city boasts beautiful ancient palaces and traditional houses that harmonize with nature. Trendy buildings these days seem to be bringing that power of Seoul’s contrasting beauty into their designs as many of them have fused the modern with the traditional, like the renovated hanok (traditional Korean building) cafes in Samcheong-dong, or newer buildings that feature traditional Korean designs. Whatever the method may be, the vibe is still very natural, boosting the understated charm that represents Korea's capital city. Branching off of these efforts, many brands are taking on the challenge of mixing and matching traditional Korean elements while still staying up-to-date on trends. The following is a selection by the Korea JoongAng Daily of local … [Read more...] about Korean design jumps on the K-history bandwagon with traditional motifs

Will Hillary’s ‘Half A Billion Solar Panels’ Promise Send Billions To China?

July 27, 2015 by dailycaller.com

Hillary Clinton’s newest campaign promise to install half a billion solar panels across the country has been praised by liberal media outlets and environmentalists , but could this pledge end up benefiting China? On Sunday, Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton promised to install half a billion solar panels by the end of her first term and get the U.S. to a point where it can generate enough green energy to power every home in the country. “Through these goals, we will increase the amount of installed solar capacity by 700% by 2020, expand renewable energy to at least a third of all electricity generation, prevent thousands of premature deaths and tens of thousands of asthma attacks each year, and put our country on a path to achieve deep emission reductions by 2050,” Clinton’s website boasts . While there’s no doubt U.S. companies and green energy interests would benefit from the “competitive grants and other market-based incentives” Hillary promises to … [Read more...] about Will Hillary’s ‘Half A Billion Solar Panels’ Promise Send Billions To China?

Cobalt Is The New Blood Diamond Thanks To Green Energy

August 20, 2018 by dailycaller.com

The rising popularity of electric vehicles and other technology caused a surge in demand for cobalt, a metal that is mostly found in Africa, where miners are reportedly working in horrific conditions. The growing market for electric-powered automobiles, smartphones and other high-tech devices has made for unintended consequences halfway around the world. Such products — which operate on lithium-ion batteries — typically require cobalt, a chemical element found within the earth’s crust. The metal is becoming increasingly associated with the “blood diamond” vernacular. The Democratic Republic of the Congo, a central African country, is where the vast majority of cobalt is currently mined. While the Congo has largely profited off the metal, international observers have expressed concern over the working conditions of cobalt miners. Activists have decried inhumane working conditions African cobalt miners are enduring. The precarious situation of depending on an unstable country for … [Read more...] about Cobalt Is The New Blood Diamond Thanks To Green Energy

How Oracle Red Bull Racing Walked Away From Porsche And Ford Stepped In

February 8, 2023 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin As questions surrounded equity control of Oracle Red Bull’s Formula 1 team, and changes to sustainability for the racing series are set to take a larger role, Porsche fell by the wayside, and Ford decided to make their return to the sport after a 22-year absence. It’s not often that one can say, “When a door closes, another door closes which leads to a door opening,” but that may best describe what has happened with consecutive F1 driver championships in 2021-22 and 2022 constructor champion Oracle Red Bull Racing. A seismic shift has occurred with those supplying powertrains in F1 as an increase in renewable technology continues to dramatically alter the consumer automotive market. In 2021, Honda left primary support for Red Bull as they moved away from combustion engines. Honda has pledged to be carbon-neutral by 2050. With not just Honda but others seeking to increase battery technology, and other renewable … [Read more...] about How Oracle Red Bull Racing Walked Away From Porsche And Ford Stepped In

The Rise Of Embedded Finance: Exploring The Next Wave Of Digital Banking

February 9, 2023 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Alfred Kahn is the founder and CEO at OvationCXM , a customer experience management company. Embedded finance has become ubiquitous throughout many industries as businesses continue to desire financial services in their platforms. Although the opportunities embedded finance provides by increasing convenience to the end user and expanding revenue streams for the financial institutions that power the products, embedded finance complicates a company’s ecosystem. It can make it harder to deliver A-plus customer experiences. Meanwhile, B2B use cases are growing quickly as companies look for fast and easy ways to speed up receivables, ensure transactions and more. Both the financial providers and the companies that are embedding these capabilities have to be intentional about maximizing the benefits of embedded finance while managing any pain points that come with having more moving pieces involved in delivering … [Read more...] about The Rise Of Embedded Finance: Exploring The Next Wave Of Digital Banking

Top 5 Banking And Fintech Trends For 2021

December 7, 2020 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin OBSERVATIONS FROM THE FINTECH SNARK TANK 2021: The Year of Value Chain Disruption I’ve never been a big fan of “Year of the [fill-in-the-blank]” proclamations. Google the term “year of the customer” and you’ll find that every year for the past 15 years has been heralded as the year of the customer. Hey, one year it might just really happen. And past claims of “disruption” in financial services have centered on changes at the customer interaction level—i.e., digital account applications, user interfaces, etc. That didn’t really result in much true disruption because there is a whole value chain of activities that occur leading up to the point of customer interaction—and little of that has changed to date. Changes (or disruptions) to the value chain have certainly been in the works for a while now, but 2021 is going to shine a much brighter spotlight on those activities—making 2021 the year of value chain … [Read more...] about Top 5 Banking And Fintech Trends For 2021
