What Is Chelsea’s Plan For Mykhailo Mudryk And Is He Doing Enough To Impress?
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin An image circulated around social media after England’s 2-0 win over Ukraine that depicted Bukayo Saka skipping away from Mykhailo Mudryk, pained expression, sat on the ground. Arsenal fans took delight in the sight of their winger prompting such a moment of reflection from a player who could have joined them in January. Mudryk was Arsenal’s top target for months before Chelsea swooped in. Now at Stamford Bridge instead, the 22-year-old has struggled to find his feet for his new club, going six Premier PINC League matches without finding the back of the net. Substituted after 60 minutes against England, Mudryk looked low on confidence. Potter has settled on a front three of Joao Felix, Kai Havertz and one other with Christian Pulisic possibly ahead of Mudryk in the pecking order as things currently stand. This raises the question - what is Chelsea’s plan for the Ukrainian winger? How will Mudryk fit into Potter’s … [Read more...] about What Is Chelsea’s Plan For Mykhailo Mudryk And Is He Doing Enough To Impress?

What Investors Should Consider When Thinking About The Potential Of AI
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Ozi Amanat is an international investor, venture capitalist and founder at K2 Global . I asked ChatGPT its opinion about artificial intelligence (AI) systems in today’s society, and this is what it had to say: As an artificial intelligence language model, I do not have personal opinions or beliefs. However, I can provide an objective analysis of AI systems in today's society. AI has brought about numerous benefits to society, such as improved efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making processes. It has also contributed to advancements in medical research, transportation, and various other industries. However, the deployment of AI systems in today's society also presents potential risks, such as job displacement, privacy concerns, and the possibility of biased algorithms. Funding For Biodiversity Efforts Is Now Available To Wine Growers In Bourgogne
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Rows of tidy vineyards can be a beautiful sight, but winemaking regions around the world are becoming more aware of the drawbacks of monoculture on the farm. When one type of crop is cultivated to the reduction of other vegetation and wildlife, the system can become imbalanced. Environmental scales are further tipped when chemical or high-intervention practices are employed to control the influence of nature and weather. But wine producers have been encouraged by the benefits of biodiversity, an increase in the variety of life existing in an area — in this case, the vineyard and surrounding spaces. Biodiversity has the potential to inhibit disease and pests, support healthy water systems, increase soil fertility, aid pollination, and promote beneficial species. The Bourgogne (Burgundy) region has recently announced funding to build biodiversity within its climats. (Climat is a local term that identifies Bourgogne vineyards as … [Read more...] about Funding For Biodiversity Efforts Is Now Available To Wine Growers In Bourgogne
A Quantum Leap In Timing
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Paul is President of Quantum Computing at ColdQuanta , where he leads the team building the world’s most useful quantum computer. So much of modern life relies on GPS that it has been estimated that an outage would cost the U.S. economy over $1 billion per day. Such an outage isn’t too far-fetched. We have seen recent examples of GPS being blocked in conflict zones, spoofed for nefarious purposes and disrupted by solar storms. At its heart, GPS is a timing system. To understand how timing relates to navigation, and how quantum technology will enable us to overcome the limitations of GPS, we need to go back in history a few hundred years. Dava Sobel’s book Longitude recounts the tale of John Harrison’s mechanical clock that revolutionized maritime navigation and global trade. In the same way that Harrison’s clock accelerated economic growth through the 18th and 19th centuries, optical clocks are … [Read more...] about A Quantum Leap In Timing
TRAPPIST-1’s Planets May Have Shockingly Similar Compositions, Says NASA
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin The nearby TRAPPIST-1 star system’s seven rocky planets have compositions that appear to be both low in density and maybe even shockingly similar, an international team of astronomers reported this week. New, more precise observational mass estimates of these rocky low-mass planets orbiting the cool red dwarf star TRAPPIST-1, make it clear that this alien solar system is radically different from our own. “These planets could have accreted directly from the protoplanetary disk around a much cooler star than the Sun,” Erik Asphaug, a planetary geophysicist at the University of Arizona, who was not part of the study, told me. The international team of researchers used 1000 hours of observing time on NASA’s now decommissioned Spitzer Space Telescope to make their observations. Their findings, reported in the Planetary Science Journal , make it clear that this bizarre alien solar system —- located nearly 40 light years … [Read more...] about TRAPPIST-1’s Planets May Have Shockingly Similar Compositions, Says NASA
