Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Key Takeaways September Saw Stocks Fall Substantially Yields Continue Climbing End Of Quarter Could Be Volatile It’s been a September to not remember. Many people, myself included, did not expect to see markets retest their early summer lows, but that is in fact what happened. Through Thursday, the S&P 500 is down 8% for the month while the Nasdaq is down 7%. For the year, the S&P 500 is down 24% and the Nasdaq is down 32%, putting both markets in bear market territory. One of the more interesting aspects to the current market is its interpretation of data and inability to hold gains. It was not long ago that any data point was seen as a positive and prices would rally. Premarket and early morning selloffs were met with buyers and markets quickly regained any losses. Fast forward to today where we find ourselves through the looking glass and in the upside down house. The negative … [Read more...] about A Rough September For Stock
Global brokerage Jefferies has initiated coverage on Sunteck Realty shares with a Buy rating as it believes that Sunteck is on a path to double its presales to Rs25bn in three years as the pipeline of new projects built during covid comes to fruition. “A near-doubling of Sunteck's project portfolio has happened post-covid and as the monetisation of land parcels commences, we see sales delivering a 25% CAGR over FY22-25E. 70%+ of sales come from the affordable & mid-income segment of the Mumbai residential sector, where competition from organized developers is limited. Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin In recent days, the stock market has dropped sharply, bounced, and then pulled back again. The headlines are warning the bear market is back, and the average investor is worried that current volatility could get worse, which is a valid concern. So, where do we go from here? The way to approach this question is not to look at the market itself. The stock market values companies, but those values are a result—not a cause. In order to see where the market is and where it is going, we need to examine the underlying causes. For the stock market, there are two: corporate earnings and stock valuations. Price-to-Earnings Ratio If you think about it, you can see why this is. When you buy a share of stock, you are buying a piece of a company, which is to say (from a practical perspective), a piece of that company’s earnings. If you buy a stock in a company that is earning $1 per share, then you can expect, as an owner, to get … [Read more...] about Rates To Blame For Recent Market Volatility?

The MSCI India Index rallied almost 10% in the just-ended quarter, compared with a 23% slump for the MSCI China Index. The 33-percentage-point outperformance by the India gauge is the biggest since March 2000. Beijing's Covid Zero pursuit, regulatory crackdowns, and tensions with the West have led to a US$5 trillion (RM23.19 trillion) rout in Chinese stocks since early 2021. And India — long dubbed the "next China" — has become an attractive alternative with economic growth that is forecast to be the fastest in Asia. Market veteran Mark Mobius has allocated a higher weight to India than China since the start of this year. Jupiter Asset Management said some of its emerging-market funds have India as their largest holding. M&G Investments (Singapore) Pte has made a … [Read more...] about China’s US$5 tril rout creates historic gap with Indian stocks
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Logistics Stocks Recent News The global logistics market is expected to grow at a 6.8% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) between 2022 and 2030, particularly due to a surge in e-commerce logistics, container shortages, closure of major ports causing port congestion, shortage of truck drivers and restricted capacity in the air freight market. With the rising prevalence of e-commerce, logistics providers will be forced to adopt automation and newer technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), geofencing, Internet of Things (IoT) and data analytics to make the delivery and returns experience seamless and cost effective for both customers and retailers. The Russia-Ukraine conflict disrupted the logistics industry earlier this year. Freight has been rerouted, derailed and suspended from surrounding areas disrupting the global supply chain network.
