MAHB, Capital A cease legal proceedings - A + A KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 10): Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd and Capital A Bhd have both decided to drop legal proceedings against each other that they initiated via their subsidiaries Malaysia Airports (Sepang) Sdn Bhd (MASSB) and AirAsia Aviation Group Ltd (AirAsia Group). The two groups have locked horns since the end of 2018, when AirAsia Group's Malaysian operations refused to collect the higher passenger service charges (formerly known as airport tax) from passengers that MAHB and MASSB demanded, after the rate was raised to RM73 per pssenger in 2018 from RM50. Staring at a lengthy dinner menu while eating out last night, I couldn’t bring myself to contemplate its many choices, however delightful. “I’ll just take whatever is most popular,” I said when the waiter arrived. When we face so many choices and make decision after decision, it depletes our mental energy and willpower . This biological price tag is called decision fatigue —or a state of cognitive overload and strain that can hamper your ability to make additional decisions. In this state, our … [Read more...] about How to make decision fatigue more bearable

Explore the full list of innovators who broke through this year—and had an impact on the world around us. advertisement When U.S. sprinter Allyson Felix took to the track at the Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021, her light blue running spikes weren’t created by a major sportswear brand with an innovation lab staffed by industrial designers. They were from Felix’s then less-than-two-month-old women-focused footwear brand, Saysh , designed by a four-person team led by Nike- and Adidas-veteran Natalie Candrian, who created the shoes on a truncated nine-month timeline (most brands take four years), with Felix training in samples. Felix took home the Gold for the 4x400m relay and the Bronze for the 400m—breaking the record for the USA’s most decorated track and field athlete in Olympic history (besting Carl Lewis!). Meanwhile, the Saysh One sneaker , inspired by Felix’s professional … [Read more...] about This former Nike designer is taking performance apparel to the next level

Starting 2024, individuals applying for the Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification must be a student or graduate of a medical school that is accredited by a regulatory agency duly recognised by the WMFE. WMFE is an international organisation working to improve the quality of medical training and it operates in partnership with the World Health Organisation and the World Medical Association. “We have extended our application for WMFE recognition with details such as how we offer affiliation to medical colleges in India and the plans to strengthen the accreditation process further in order to improve the quality of medical training,” said a senior … [Read more...] about MC Exclusive | NMC seeks accreditation for global recognition of India’s medical colleges
