25 Elon Musk Impersonator Scams On Social Media People Actually Fell For
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Social media is filled with countless scammers trying to capitalize on Elon Musk’s name. Just take a look under any of Musk’s tweets and you’ll see people promising crypto giveaways, which are actually just scams that siphon money away from users. But does anyone actually fall for these? Yes, they really do. And I’ve obtained the stories to prove it. I often file Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests with the FTC to learn about different complaints that consumers have with particular companies. Previously I’ve done this with FTX , Tinder and Canon just to name a few. It’s an interesting way to learn about customer service problems. But when I recently filed a FOIA request for complaints about Tesla, I received some documents that I didn’t expect. Many of the complaints were about Tesla, of course, and issues people were having with their cars, warranties and financing. But consumers were also complaining about … [Read more...] about 25 Elon Musk Impersonator Scams On Social Media People Actually Fell For
Disney’s $13 Million Drone Extravaganza
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Disney has spent an estimated $13 million on a new drone show at its theme park complex in Paris which premiered on Saturday and features Marvel Comics characters such as Iron Man and Spider-Man. Called Avengers: Power The Night, the eight-minute show is a whole new world for Disney. It is the theme park giant's first daily drone show featuring Marvel characters and, unlike its previous displays, this one creates 3D shapes which seem to twist and turn in mid-air. It's more than a high-tech trick as the 500 drones take the form of props which play a role in the show itself. Fittingly, the show can be seen from courtyard of the movie-themed Walt Disney DIS DIS Studios park at Disneyland Paris and the action begins when the sun goes down. The backdrop for the spectacle is suitably cinematic. It is held high above the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, a soaring skyscraper that looks like it has come from the golden age … [Read more...] about Disney’s $13 Million Drone Extravaganza
New Zealand Captain Ali Riley Remains Optimistic About Growth Of Women’s Soccer
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin While Ali Riley is certainly grateful for everything soccer has provided her on and off the field, the Angel City FC and New Zealand women’s national team captain is even more excited about what the beautiful game can bring the next generation as interest and support continues to grow from investors, brands, fans and media. But the fight for equality is far from over. “I hope women’s sports moves in a direction—and we are seeing it—where we don’t feel the need to make more money (outside of our salaries),” Riley says. “I would love it if all of this was a choice and a passion. In the future, I would love to make enough money where I could be investing in these companies that do good things because I think a lot of players will probably jump at any opportunity to make extra money. “I’m not going to say I’m lucky because I’ve worked really, really hard to be in this position but I have the privilege of being able to … [Read more...] about New Zealand Captain Ali Riley Remains Optimistic About Growth Of Women’s Soccer

Carlsbad – A Great Destination For Golf And Much More
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin I went to Carlsbad for golf. I came back wowed by the town and its many other attractions. Carlsbad sits between San Diego and Los Angeles in the great weather epicenter of coastal Southern California. In the golf industry it’s known as the Silicon Valley of the sport, because so many of the big golf club manufactures are based here. For the traveling golf public it is home to two acclaimed destination resorts, the luxury Park Hyatt Aviara and the historic Omni La Costa Resort & Spa, host to many high-profile PGA tour events and other championships. There is also other great golf in the area. But not having kids, I had no idea that Carlsbad was home to Legoland , perhaps its biggest attraction, and one of the first things I saw as I headed to the tee. I didn’t know it had a frozen in time beach town with great atmosphere. I did not know the area is acclaimed for its hiking trails and miles of stunning beaches. … [Read more...] about Carlsbad – A Great Destination For Golf And Much More
Transcending The Layers Of Leadership Identity
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Dr. Gregory Stebbins is the Founder and Master Coach at PeopleSavvy. He is a member of the American Psychological Association. While working to become a self-aware leader, one of the inquiries we need to explore is our leadership identity. As leaders, we create, promote or allow our leadership identity to take shape. While we grow as a leader, our initial identity will act as a foundation. Subtle changes take place over time as we experience life events that we might categorize as wins or losses. How many of us have ever said to ourselves, “Well, I’ll never do that again,” and then repeated the action? If so, it’s time to grow our self-awareness. If we choose not to take the time to develop our self-awareness, we might have an event that shakes the roots of our leadership identity. These events can be emotional, employment-related or involve family life. Echoes of this shaking may cause us to reorder our … [Read more...] about Transcending The Layers Of Leadership Identity

(Photo: Twitter) Shafali Verma’s acceptance speech as the winning captain at the inaugural women’s Under World Cup final was more waterworks than words. The camera was on her. She was at the centre of the proceedings. Her effort to temper her reaction was earnest. But the tears refused to stop. The World Economic Forum Warns Of Polycrises
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin There are a handful of insightful reports I look forward to every year. The World Economic Forum’s Global Risks Report is one of them. This year’s report is based on interviews with over 1,200 experts across academia, business, government, the international community and civil society. “’Global risk’” is defined as the possibility of the occurrence of an event or condition which, if it occurs, would negatively impact a significant proportion of global GDP, population or natural resources. The report lists the leading risks that are currently manifesting themselves. But it also looks at what the most important risks are likely to be in the short term - a horizon of two years, and the long term, over the next ten years. Current Global Risks Regular readers of the news should not be surprised to see the energy supply crisis, the cost-of-living crisis; and rising inflation as the top three risks. Interestingly, the … [Read more...] about The World Economic Forum Warns Of Polycrises
