Study Shows Why Hybrid Work Will Triumph Over The Return To Office

March 20, 2023 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Even though Amazon, Disney, Apple, and now potentially Meta are forcing employees to return to office, a recent survey conducted by IWG reveals why hybrid work will win over the return to office. The survey assessed the views and preferences of 1,015 full-time hybrid workers in the U.S. in February 2023. As a global future of work expert who helped 22 companies transition to hybrid and remote work, their data aligns with internal survey results I saw inside my clients. That’s why the return to a traditional office schedule of M-F 9-5 will not be successful, and non-frontline employees will be largely hybrid in the medium and long term. The Value of Hybrid Work: Willing to Sacrifice Salary The survey found that 67% of respondents would be willing to give up some amount of salary to maintain their hybrid work arrangement, with an average amount of $13,000. This underscores the importance of hybrid work to employees, … [Read more...] about Study Shows Why Hybrid Work Will Triumph Over The Return To Office

MSNBC Guest Says Trump Should Not Be Arrested, Raises Question Of Fairness

March 20, 2023 by dailycaller.com

Former U.S. attorney Chuck Rosenberg said Monday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” that former President Donald Trump should not be arrested and warned that, if he were, the fairness of the legal system could come into question. Trump announced Saturday he expects to be arrested by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office on Tuesday. The potential indictment relates to a years-long investigation into whether Trump paid hush money to former porn actress Stormy Daniels. In Oct. 2016, Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen , sent $130,000 to Daniels so that she would not disclose her alleged affair with Trump, according to reporting from The Wall Street Journal . Cohen claims that the then-candidate reimbursed him for the payments, and authorities are still investigating whether Trump forged business records to hide the alleged payout. During the Monday morning segment on MSNBC, host Jonathan Lemire asked Rosenberg to walk viewers through what a possible Trump indictment would look … [Read more...] about MSNBC Guest Says Trump Should Not Be Arrested, Raises Question Of Fairness

March 20, 2023 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Topline Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) weighed in Monday on the possible indictment of former President Donald Trump, calling the Manhattan District Attorney “corrupt” by saying he would not get involved in a “manufactured circus” surrounding the potential charges, as DeSantis prepares for a likely 2024 election rivalry against Trump. Key Facts DeSantis, who was speaking at an event in Panama City, Florida, told reporters he did not know what was going to happen with Trump’s potential indictment, and was not getting involved “in any way”—but he criticized the process. DeSantis called Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan District Attorney who could bring charges against Trump in the coming days if a grand jury chooses to indict him, a “Soros-funded” prosecutor who “weaponizes” his office to “impose a political agenda on society” (billionaire George Soros, a frequent target of hard-right politicians, donated to a … [Read more...] about DeSantis Breaks Silence On Possible Trump Charges—And Criticizes N.Y. House GOP Demands Manhattan DA Testify Over Trump Criminal Probe: ‘Unprecedented Abuse Of Prosecutorial Authority’

March 20, 2023 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Topline Top House Republicans sent a letter to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg on Monday demanding he testify about his investigation into former President Donald Trump’s role in an apparent hush money payment made to a porn star in the final days of the 2016 campaign, which the GOP paints as a politically motivated probe relying on an untested legal theory ahead of his potential indictment. Key Facts The letter called the investigation an “unprecedented abuse of prosecutorial authority,” claiming the DA’s office has spent years looking for an excuse to charge Trump and has now settled on a “novel legal theory untested anywhere in the country.” Trump predicted over the weekend he will be indicted Tuesday for allegedly orchestrating a $130,000 payment to porn star Stormy Daniels to keep her from publicly disclosing an alleged affair between the two—Bragg could claim the payment was an illegal political … [Read more...] about House GOP Demands Manhattan DA Testify Over Trump Criminal Probe: ‘Unprecedented Abuse Of Prosecutorial Authority’

Trump Tries To Block Georgia Election Investigation As Criminal Charges Loom

March 20, 2023 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Topline Former President Donald Trump asked a state court Monday to throw out all evidence from a grand jury investigation in Georgia over the 2020 election and block investigators from continuing their probe, a last-minute effort to thwart the investigation into whether Trump illegally tried to overturn the election as the ex-president faces potentially imminent criminal charges. Key Facts The court filing asks the Georgia state court to block prosecutors from using “any evidence or testimony” from the grand jury investigation, as well as throw out the grand jury’s final report. It also asks the court to block the Fulton County district attorney’s office, which has been investigating the post-election period and could bring charges, from having “any further involvement in this matter.” Trump claimed the grand jury’s work should be thrown out because the statutes that govern special grand juries in … [Read more...] about Trump Tries To Block Georgia Election Investigation As Criminal Charges Loom

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Topline Former President Donald Trump may be indicted as soon as this week in Manhattan on charges stemming from his alleged “hush money” payments to adult film actress Stormy Daniels, an unprecedented event for a former president that would lead to him being arraigned in court—but not held in custody or being forced to end to his presidential campaign. Key Facts When Will Trump Be Indicted? That’s still unclear—the Manhattan grand jury hearing the case still has at least one more witness to hear from on Monday, and while they could vote on charges as soon as Monday, it could also come later depending on how things go. What Will Trump Be Arrested For? It’s expected that any charges against Trump will be for falsifying business records tied to the hush money payments to Daniels—as he allegedly reimbursed ex-attorney Michael Cohen for paying Daniels through the Trump Organization, labeling the charges as … [Read more...] about Here’s What Will Happen If Trump Is Arrested (Yes, He’ll Probably Get A Mugshot)
