Drake, a team ambassador for the Raptors, consoled DeRozan and told him how much he meant to the city. DeRozan said he was shocked by the trade because he was told he wouldn't be moved days earlier. In the aftermath of the trade, however, DeRozan found comfort from an unlikely source — Drake. In an interview with ESPN's Chris Haynes, DeRozan opened up about the trade, saying that after the deal went through, he actually went to Drake's house. According to DeRozan, Drake, a team ambassador for the Raptors, consoled DeRozan. "Yeah, day it came out, I went to Drake's house," DeRozan said. "Me and him sat and talked for a couple of hours. Not even on some hoops stuff. Just to hear the words that come from him being the person that he is in this world, especially in Toronto. … [Read more...] about DeMar DeRozan says that Drake consoled him after being suddenly traded from the Raptors

Obviously, the ideal scenario would’ve been for the Pelicans to miss the playoffs and give the Bulls another lottery pick as long as it didn’t fall in the protections of Nos. 1-5. To the Pelicans’ credit, they qualified for the postseason, with Mirotic’s strong play a big reason why. The pick still could’ve been as high as No. 20 had random drawings for tiebreakers broken the … [Read more...] about Bulls Q&A: What value does the No. 22 pick hold?
