New Balance lands major endorsement deal with Raptors star Kawhi Leonard, report says

Leonard’s jump from Jordan to New Balance, first reported by Yahoo Sports, is a huge win for the Brighton-based company as it tries to compete in a market dominated by Nike, Jordan Brand, and Adidas. The 27-year-old Leonard turned down an extension offer from Jordan Brand in July, according to ESPN, and his contract was up in October. NFL team tops Forbes most valuable sports team list
The Dallas Cowboys, valued at $4.8 billion, are once again at the top of Forbes’ annual list of the 50 most valuable sports franchises in the world.They may not have made the playoffs in 2017, but the team is still making money hand over fist. According to Forbes, the Cowboys aren’t just the most valuable sports team, they also pull in most revenue of any team. They made $840 million in 2017.Despite sagging ratings and bad press from player protests during the national anthem, the NFL is still enormously popular (37 percent of Americans chose football as their favorite sport in a recent Gallup poll) and enormously profitable.NFL teams dominate list of top 50There are 50 teams on Forbes’ list, and more than half of them are from the NFL. No, LeBron James will not be wearing a Lakers uniform, but he will be on their players’ minds. James is taking his talents to Los Angeles after agreeing to a four-year, $154 million deal with the Lakers. The Lakers’ summer league team was in Sacramento when the news broke and it jolted two of LeBron’s future teammates out of bed.
