Haute Tequila Brand 21 Seeds Is The Fashion Scene’s Drink Of Choice

March 17, 2023 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Fashion and booze have always intertwined. Just look at how Grand Marnier has partnered with New York Fashion Week or when Absolut Vodka staged a sustainable runway at London Fashion Week. It makes sense, as the cocktail hour has practically become its own runway show. Buzzy fashion designers have the power to sway the fashion crowd to one booze brand or another—especially when complimentary drinks are at play during their cocktail soirées. In fact, fashion designer Vera Wang has her own line of vodka with Chopin, and beachwear brand Tommy Bahama has its own line of spirits, too. And now, one haute tequila brand 21 Seeds is popping up all over the fashion scene—whether it’s store openings, VIP parties, or fashion week events hosted by designers like Kidsuper, Dion Lee, Rebecca Vallance and most recently at the Bronx & Banco party at New York Fashion Week. Salma Hayek recently posted on Instagram where a … [Read more...] about Haute Tequila Brand 21 Seeds Is The Fashion Scene’s Drink Of Choice

March 15, 2023 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Purpose-driven business models have increased as more companies realize a need to better the world and themselves. According to Kate Gibbons of Harvard Business School Online, “There are several reasons why purpose-driven companies aren’t just sustainable but industry leaders. On top of fostering company culture, financial success, and industry change, they promote cooperation and long-term sustainability in business.” For the younger generations, purpose-driven pursuits are at the heart of how they choose the careers they wish to enter. “This is why, together with the Millennials, Gen-Z is sometimes called the ‘Why Generation.’ They have to have an answer to that question for everything they do,” says Mark C. Perna in Forbes . Once they [Millennials and Gen-Z] have their answer, the choice for work becomes professional and, ultimately, personal. March 16, 2023 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin March is Endometriosis Awareness Month. It was started in 1993 by the Endometriosis Association to bring awareness to this inflammatory condition. In endometriosis , tissue that is similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of the uterus. Symptoms may include painful periods, irregular or heavy bleeding, digestive issues, pain with sex, and difficulty getting pregnant. While the organs most commonly affected include the ovaries, fallopian tubes and tissue lining the pelvis, endometriosis can extend to parts of the body beyond the pelvis. It’s estimated to affect 10% of menstruating women worldwide , but health experts say the actual number may be much higher, as it can take a long time to receive a diagnosis—an average of ten years, according to Lora Liu, MD, a board-certified minimally invasive endometriosis excision specialist. She says, “There are so many women who think their symptoms are ‘normal’ or who … [Read more...] about 1 In 10 Women Worldwide Suffer From Endometriosis, So Why Does It Take So Long To Get A Diagnosis?

YouTube Has Allowed Music Video Featuring Myriam Fares To Be Edited To Remove Problematic Content

March 16, 2023 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin After apparently months of requests, video sharing service YouTube finally agreed to allow a 2018 music video by Lebanese singer Myriam Fares to be edited to remove "offensive" imagery. According to a report from Rolling Stone , a member of Fares' management team confirmed that they had "successfully trimmed" some of the footage of the singer in blackface from the video for her hit international single "Goumi." The music publication first pointed out the controversial footage last November. However, even when it was released five years ago, there had been some backlash for her being seen in blackface to appear African. "We are now very well aware of the offensiveness that escaped our judgment when we launched the music video as it was never intentional. Especially since the blackface concept is non-existent in the Arab world and it was not considered a sensitive phenomenon in the Middle East," a statement to the … [Read more...] about YouTube Has Allowed Music Video Featuring Myriam Fares To Be Edited To Remove Problematic Content

One of the greatest challenges about switching industries as a marketing leader is understanding the regulatory landscape. A couple of positions ago, I became CMO of a clinical trial discovery platform for patients. As you can imagine, when recruiting potential patients to experimental drug trials, there are many, many things you can’t say. Fast forward a bit, and I’ve conducted investor relations as a public company officer and now serve as CMO for a fintech company. Both settings require a tight partnership with legal counsel to ensure communications are compliant with regulations that protect investors. Regulated communications are a challenge for marketers.
