The Indian government a day later issued a statement saying media reports using the term “Indian Variant” were without any basis, saying the WHO had classified the variant as just B.1.617. Liberal Outlet Demands MSNBC Host Lose His Job For Questioning Dem Leadership

June 28, 2022 by dailycaller.com

A liberal online media outlet started a campaign to force the firing of MSNBC host Chris Hayes after he questioned Democratic leaders Monday in the wake of a series of Supreme Court rulings. “Democratic Party leadership shouldn’t sugarcoat it, pretend there’s a magic wand they could wave, to reverse this terrible decision,” Hayes said on “All In With Chris Hayes” Monday night. “There isn’t. But they do need to articulate a plan to fight back. And right now, I gotta say that is shockingly absent.” (RELATED: ‘Biden Can Replace Him’: Liberals Call For Firing Of Top Biden Official) WATCH: The Supreme Court upheld Mississippi’s ban on abortion after the 15th week of pregnancy in a 6-3 decision in Dobbs v. Singapore’s surging rents shock expats and encourage scammers

June 28, 2022 by www.theedgemarkets.com

- A + A SINGAPORE (June 28): When Canadian expat Michelle went to renew the lease on her three-story house in Singapore in May, her landlord wanted to raise the rent by almost 40%. Michelle tried to negotiate but the owner wouldn’t budge on the S$10,000 (US$7,200) a month asking price. She’s moving her family into a three-bedroom apartment next month. “I took what I could get,” said Michelle, who asked not to use her full name on concern it may impact her business in the city-state. There’s “a lot of greed at the moment.” Rents are skyrocketing in Singapore, particularly in the prime accommodation favored by expatriate residents, as surging demand from locals and newer arrivals collides with pandemic-induced delays in supply. Rental prices for the private properties leased by expats are rising on average by 20% to 40%, according to 10 real estate agents interviewed by Bloomberg , though some landlords are even asking for double the previous rent. The island’s … [Read more...] about Singapore’s surging rents shock expats and encourage scammers

Are You Really Listening Or Just Waiting To Talk? There’s A Difference

August 6, 2020 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin When we think of characteristics of a strong leader, “great listener” typically isn’t one of the first skills to come to mind, but maybe it should be. Particularly in this Covid-19 era as leaders are managing stressed, anxious employees often hesitant at best about the return to work, qualities like empathy and emotional intelligence will be in high demand – possibly separating leaders who succeed from those who fail. Arguably, one of the most necessary ingredients for this style of leadership is the ability to listen actively and authentically. No, not just vanilla, run of the mill listening that virtually anyone can do, but another level of listening. Let’s face it – when someone else is talking, very often we’re not really listening to their point or concern. Instead, too often we quickly decide that we know their point and immediately focus our mental energy into formulating our response. When we think about it, this … [Read more...] about Are You Really Listening Or Just Waiting To Talk? There’s A Difference

June 27, 2022 by www.forbes.com

Software outsourcing is an inherently complicated space, where even highly technical individuals face pain points. In this article, I’ll create a simplified guide by walking through three main concepts that will help you understand what you need to know to kick off your software outsourcing journey. 1. The Analogy “Software development is like building a house.” Let’s look at some of the basic challenges of software development with this analogy in mind. Third-Party Limits: Your house doesn’t control your Wi-Fi signal; your internet provider does. The contractor who built your house is not responsible when you have an issue with your connectivity. With software development, you will have to rely on numerous third parties. Your devs will help implement them, but … [Read more...] about Why You Need To Look At Software Outsourcing Like Building A House

December 21, 2020 by sports.inquirer.net

Running back Carlos Hyde #30 of the Seattle Seahawks rushes for a third quarter touchdown against the Washington Football Team at FedExField on December 20, 2020 in Landover, Maryland. Patrick Smith/Getty Images/AFP The Seattle Seahawks punched their NFL playoff ticket on Sunday, rushing for 181 yards and thwarting a late Washington rally in a 20-15 victory. Seattle is back in the postseason for the ninth time in 11 seasons under coach Pete Carroll. The Seahawks appeared to be cruising toward victory when they took a 20-3 lead early in the third quarter. Chris Carson, Carlos Hyde and quarterback Russell Wilson all topped 50 yards rushing. Hyde scored one of the Seahawks’ two touchdowns on a 50-yard run and Wilson connected with tight end Jacob Hollister on the other. But a turnover and a spell of offensive doldrums opened the door to Washington backup quarterback Dwayne Haskins, who engineered two fourth-quarter touchdown drives.
