FOXBOROUGH – The reports of a rift at One Patriots Place are not something that was on Tom Brady’s radar screen. “I have no reaction,’’ the quarterback said after Saturday morning’s two-hour camp practice wrapped up when asked about the reports of turmoil between he, coach Bill Belichick, and owner Robert Kraft. Brady, speaking publicly for the first time this offseason, abruptly ended the five-minute session after being asked what his reaction was to people linking Julian Edelman’s suspension to his business partner, Alex Guerrero. “I have no comment,’’ he said. “That’s just ridiculous. I’m out. See you guys.’’ Brady touched on a number of subjects, including the return of offensive Josh McDaniels (“He’s one of my best friends … I’m glad he’s on our team.’’), his offseason family time, and how he feels entering his 19th season. “It’s been good … [Read more...] about Tom Brady isn’t interested in talking about reported rift or Alex Guerrero

A photo of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in full pads throwing a pass was posted to his verified Instagram account on Wednesday with the caption “Dreamworks’’ followed by a sparkling emoji and the peace sign emoji. It is unclear when the photo was taken. Brady has not attended the team’s workouts this week, by all accounts, and teams cannot practice in full pads at this point anyway. According to the team, there was no practice scheduled Wednesday. The Patriots’ first mandatory practices of the offseason are a three-day minicamp June 5-7 that team owner Robert Kraft said Brady is “very excited about.’’ The photo could be a little reminder that Brady is doing his part on his own time to make the dream work. (As the saying goes, teamwork makes the dream work.) It could also serve as a reminder that the quarterback has not been in Patriots practice gear with his team yet this offseason. Maybe Brady posted it to troll all those who are … [Read more...] about What’s up with the photo posted on Tom Brady’s Instagram today?
Patriots wide receiver Chris Hogan says working with quarterback Tom Brady and “his guy” has changed his career. Speaking to host Sean Delaney during a recent episode of the podcast, “What Got You There with Sean Delaney,” Hogan explained how practicing what Brady preaches has altered his training regimen for the better. The 30-year-old didn’t explicitly mention the TB12 Sports Therapy Center at Patriots Place or Brady’s body engineer, Alex Guerrero, but he gave a not-so-subtle shoutout to “the facility they have up there with Brady” and “his guy.” “I mean, it’s changed my career,” Hogan said. “It really has. I’ve really bought into what he talks about and pliability and keeping everything fresh, and it really has. I do it every single day — sometimes twice a day. I don’t think I could play without it anymore. It’s amazing.” Hogan told Delaney he used to be “a big … [Read more...] about Chris Hogan on Tom Brady: ‘I’ve really bought into what he talks about’
Tom Brady has yet to sign a contract extension with the Patriots, but owner Robert Kraft says both he and the quarterback are OK with that. “He’ll be 41 when the season starts,” Kraft told The Athletic‘s Jeff Howe. “Neither side has an issue with it. If it becomes an issue, we’ll deal with it.” Brady is currently signed through the 2019 season, but he reportedly would “most certainly entertain” contract negotiations. The five-time Super Bowl champion, who turns 41 years old in August, typically signs an extension with two seasons remaining on his contract. His past deals also often take place before the start of free agency — to lessen his cap hit, which stands at its a career-high $22 million. Kraft told Howe the two sides are ready to mobilize and re-ignite contract negotiations should the opportunity present itself. Although Brady has previously expressed a desire to play through his mid-40’s, the ominous finish … [Read more...] about Robert Kraft shed light on Tom Brady’s contract situation
A new sports documentary featuring Tom Brady is generating buzz for Facebook Watch. That’s good news for Facebook, given how underwhelming many of its early shows have been. The new doc, along with professional productions like ESPN’s “First Take” offshoot, could serve to help better define Facebook Watch and bring more viewers and advertisers to the emerging outlet. All Tom Brady does is win. Even in web video. “If you’re gonna compete against me, you’d better be willing to give up your life. Because I’m giving up mine.” That’s what the New England Patriots quarterback says in his new documentary on Facebook Watch, “Tom vs. Time.” Facebook seems to share Brady’s cutthroat competitiveness. And while’s way too early to draw conclusions about a platform that launched just this past August, Facebook Watch may be suddenly on to something with … [Read more...] about Facebook Watch may be finding its groove thanks to Tom Brady and Stephen A.
