The new series stars Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters, a lawyer who specializes in superhuman-oriented legal cases. INQUIRER.net file photo MANILA, Philippines — Only 103 new COVID-19 cases were recorded by the Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday with active cases further going down to 2,241. Based on the COVID-19 Tracker website of the DOH, these new infections are slightly lower than the 110 cases recorded on Tuesday. Wednesday’s new cases are also fewer than the average cases recorded the previous week from May 9 to 15 — 160 cases per day, from a total of 1,118 infections. With this, the total number of confirmed infections is now 3,688,100 nationwide, with 3,625,407 recoveries and 60,452 deaths. A total of 22,742 individuals, meanwhile, were tested on Tuesday, May 17. These numbers were recorded a week after the May 9 national and local elections. Eric Clapton, who has railed against lockdowns and vaccines, has tested positive for Covid-19. The 77-year-old English singer has cancelled two upcoming concerts, Tuesday (May 17) in Zurich and Wednesday in Milan, after being diagnosed, his team announced Tuesday. “It is very frustrating that having avoided Covid throughout lockdown and throughout the period when travel restrictions have been in place Eric should have succumbed to Covid at this point in time, but we very much hope he will be sufficiently recovered by the end of the week to be able to perform the remainder of the planned performances,” his team said in a statement.
