Swiggy on November 20 said it has set up over 1,000 cloud kitchens for its restaurant partners and plans to have more such facilities in 12 new cities by March next year.In a span of just two years, the company has invested in over a million square feet of real estate space across 14 cities to help large, medium and small restaurant partners expand to more locations both within their city and across new cities through cloud kitchens, Swiggy said in a statement."Swiggy has always maintained that cloud kitchens will be the future of food delivery. Facebook has launched a new app, and this time it is related to memes. The social networking giant has released a new meme-creation app called Whale. The app allows users to edit photos with text and stickers in order to create memes that can be shared on social media or forward to their contacts.The Whale app is currently available only in the Canadian App Store for iPhones. Facebook’s New Product Experiment (NPE) team is the brains behind the development of this app, first spotted by intelligence firm Apptopia and reported by The Information. Medical associations and professionals have said they will halt cashless treatments of beneficiaries of the Centre's medical care schemes unless rates are increased and unpaid dues paid, according to a report in Hindustan Times.Doctors associations, hospitals and nursing homes are yet to be paid at least Rs 1,000 crore for expenses incurred under these schemes, the Association of Healthcare Providers India (AHPI) said.The schemes will continue but beneficiaries would pay central government Health Scheme (CGHS) rates and then seek reimbursements from the government themselves, AHPI director-general Dr Girdhar Gyani told the paper.Close Cashless treatments will thus be halted as a stopgap measure to deal with delayed payments, he added.
