Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin This week, Colorado's lawmakers passed a Senate bill ( SB-205 ) to allow the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) to limit the sale of delta-8 THC products and create a task force to study intoxicating hemp products and, meanwhile, focus on consumer protection. The task force will submit a report to the general assembly by January 1, 2023. It will comprise 20 members, including state government representatives, experts in cannabis and industrial hemp regulation, and other stakeholders. The bill also allocates $587,347 to the Colorado attorney general's office to focus on the general consumer protection from synthetic hemp-derived intoxicating products, including delta-8 THC and delta-10 THC. KUALA Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) will establish a task force to look into long-standing strata issues in the city, including those related to joint management bodies and management corporations. Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Seri Mahadi Che Ngah said the task force would comprise technical officers and its commissioner of building department amid rising strata-related complaints within private strata properties in the city. “This (strata) is an issue we are looking at closely at the moment. “It is part of our duty to ensure that residents and strata management are aware of their responsibilities and carry out their duties accordingly. “When issues arise, we need to find a new and more permanent solution,” he said after attending DBKL’s “Majlis Semarak Aidil Fitri Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur” in Cheras yesterday. Google has announced a range of new features and improvements across its suite of products, including Google Search, Maps, and Assistant at its annual developer conference Google I/O 2022 on May 11. The internet giant is adding the ability to find local information with the recently launched multi-search feature that allows users to search the Web using text and images at the same time through Google Lens, its image recognition technology. The feature will enable users to take a picture or a screenshot of products in categories such as food, apparel and home goods and add a 'near me' text query to browse through nearby local retailers or restaurants that may offer them. For instance, one can take a picture of a food dish that she may want to try, following which the company will scan through "millions of images and reviews" posted on Web pages, and from its community of Maps contributors, to surface results about nearby spots that offer the dish. The COPs were established on Likas (West York), Lawak (Nanshan) and Parola (Northeast Cay) Islands on May 17, the PCG said in a statement on Friday. The three are among the nine features occupied by the Philippines in the disputed Spratly Islands.
