MC Interview | Employee loyalty doesn’t exist, the contract between a company and employee is now very short: Shiv Shivakumar
The lifespan of companies is shrinking – to 18 years now from 90 years in 1935, says Shiv Shivakumar, group executive president, corporate strategy, at the Aditya Birla Group. In an interview with Moneycontrol , he said in the future, some legacy companies and those that have been around for 10-15 years will likely be bought over or close down. Shivakumar, who recently wrote a book on career and management titled The Art of Management, said employee loyalty no longer exists and the contract between a company and an employee is now very short. The only thing that’s permanent is learning and the ability to look ahead. Managers must communicate at all times, advises Shivakumar, who was formerly chairperson of PepsiCo Holdings in India and CEO of emerging markets at Nokia. The young workforce will not respect age – they will respect relevance and impact, he said in the emailed interview. SHEFFIELD: The Left Isn’t About To Let Another Tragedy Go To Waste
President Joe Biden wasted no time exploiting the tragic deaths of at least 10 people in Buffalo, New York, in what appears to be a heinous, racially-motivated shooting of black shoppers in a grocery store by a vile white supremacist. Leftists are trying to tie this evil Buffalo crime to former President Donald Trump , Tucker Carlson and Fox News . Yet in the alleged shooter’s own rambling manifesto , he attacks Fox News for what he claims is Jewish leadership’s part of the “replacement theory” conspiracy. (RELATED: CAMMACK: As The Left’s Crime Crisis Worsens, America Needs Its Police Now More Than Ever) The alleged shooter never mentions Carlson — either as an inspiration or anything else. In fact, the alleged Buffalo shooter rejects the U.S. conservative movement as corporatism, and embraces Leftist eco-fascism. In Buffalo Tuesday, Biden claimed the alleged shooter’s white supremacy was driven by “A hate that through the media and politics, the Internet, has … [Read more...] about SHEFFIELD: The Left Isn’t About To Let Another Tragedy Go To Waste
HART: How To Lose Control Of A City
Having lived in Birmingham, AL, Columbia, TN, Memphis, Washington, D.C. New York City, Atlanta and the Florida Panhandle, I can tell you what makes a city good as well as how you lose a city to thugs and the crime they produce. It starts with the mayor and an honest city council backing a well-intentioned police force and DA. If the DA is not Soros-funded and political, that is important. Think the Duke lacrosse team prosecutor or the recent other Democrat DA (Funk) in the Nashville area who went after a Vanderbilt nurse for murder in what was a simple civil case of bad judgement. Uneven prosecution by politically motivated DAs, like the Atlanta embarrassment Paul Howard practiced, hurts a community. The first sign that police have lost control of your town is when loud mufflers and vulgar music blaring from cars goes unaddressed. What follows is inevitable “street racing” and crime. It is up to citizens and voters to report and hold to account officials for enforcing laws … [Read more...] about HART: How To Lose Control Of A City

The decision to distance himself from the company comes after dozens of people who have worked for him in the last several decades have come forward with claims of inappropriate behavior. "In the last couple of weeks, I have found myself the focus of an avalanche of negative publicity," said Wynn, 76, in a statement. "As I have reflected upon the environment this has created — one in which a rush to judgment takes precedence over everything else, including the facts — I have reached the conclusion I cannot continue to be effective in my current roles." Wynn, who is behind many of Las Vegas' most iconic properties such as The Mirage, Treasure Island and Bellagio, has denied the allegations and … [Read more...] about Billionaire Steve Wynn Resigns As CEO Amid Sexual Misconduct Allegations
Insurance Company Launches Coverage For Marijuana DUIs
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Cannabis consumers can protect themselves from unreliable police methods to determine impairment with new insurance coverage that provides financial and legal protection for those charged with driving under the influence of marijuana. The new insurance product from Salt Lake City-based Reepher launched this week in Missouri, with a nationwide rollout ultimately expected. Justin Kahn, CEO and co-founder of Reepher, noted in a statement from the company that drug tests for marijuana do not indicate if a person is high. Instead, the tests detect the presence of cannabis metabolites, which can remain in the system for weeks after ingestion, particularly for frequent users. “Unlike alcohol, there is currently no chemical test for cannabis impairment. THC and cannabis metabolites stay in your system and can trigger positive drug test results in sober drivers,” Kahn said. “This means that a regular cannabis consumer is likely to … [Read more...] about Insurance Company Launches Coverage For Marijuana DUIs
