7 climate actions that Biden could take on his first day
After Trump announced his intent to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris climate agreement, the crucial global deal that aims to limit emissions to avoid the worst impacts of climate change, he had to wait three years to formally get out. Biden plans to rejoin on his first day. After sending a letter to the UN, the U.S. can be back in the agreement in 30 days. House Intelligence Chair Adam Schiff also says hell-to-the-no, pointing out that U.S. allies withheld intelligence from Trump and his people because they “didn’t trust the president.” Ex-FBI director James Comey also said he thinks it would be a bad idea. … [Read more...] about Will Trump keep getting intelligence briefings? Today’s presidential inauguration marks the transition of power between two diametrically, couldn’t-be-more opposed political leaders.
