Where Does Stephen Curry Rank All-Time After Fourth NBA Championship?
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Stephen Curry has no parallel. There is nobody like him in today’s pace-and-space era. If you teleported him into the 1980s or 90s, everyone in the NBA would think aliens had infiltrated Earth. His incomparable range, glitzy ball-handling, and spellbinding scoring prowess would not be of human form. Even in the modern league, the one he’s largely responsible for shifting, Curry is not replicable. Many players can mimic his style, or believe they have the same DNA and shooting touch to warrant a similar shot diet. But there is only one. Declaring curry and samosas enemy no. 1 to whip the police into shape
Representative image For G. Chitra, an officer in India’s overburdened police forces, pretty much everything in her life is bad for her health. Working irregular hours is a source of stress. Standing guard for long periods hurts her knees. Caring for a toddler late at night and rising at 4:30 a.m. for household chores leaves her tired. Yet there she was in her bedroom one spring evening, polishing off 10 pushups, 30 squats and a bit of yoga, before grabbing red dumbbells and flinging her arms skyward like a bird opening its wings to fly. She had felt bloated of late, and decided to do something about it. In India, a country historically undernourished, many people are now packing on the pounds, and police officers are no exception. But in the island territory of Andaman and Nicobar, where Chitra serves, police have declared creamy curries, oily paneer and carb-rich dosas Enemy No. 1, and instead have embraced diet discipline and physical fitness in the ranks. The push for … [Read more...] about Declaring curry and samosas enemy no. 1 to whip the police into shape
Easing Covid-19 rules, growth focus aid China bulls’ cautious return
- A + A HONG KONG/LONDON/BENGALURU (June 29): The latest easing of coronavirus travel rules combined with other encouraging policy signals have began luring some foreign investors back to Chinese stocks, raising the chances that the market can sustain its bounce after months of heavy selling. As the S&P 500 is about to close its worst first half of any year since 1970 and bonds have taken a thrashing, China's beaten-down equity markets start looking like a shelter from a global storm of runaway inflation, interest rate hikes, and recession fears. China's blue-chip CSI300 index is up about 20% from April lows, as is the Shanghai Composite after losses of more than 10% in the first quarter. The gains, together with the relaxation of lockdowns and signals that Beijing could ease up both on virus policies and regulatory clampdowns, have tempted money managers, who were quitting China en-masse in March, to return. Those who were on the sidelines, "have shown some … [Read more...] about Easing Covid-19 rules, growth focus aid China bulls’ cautious return
