Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Knight Dragon , a London-based property developer owned by Hong Kong’s Henry Cheng , is offering investors a share in the profits of one of Britain’s largest urban renewal projects by using blockchain technology. Knight Dragon announced Tuesday that it plans to issue 100,000 security tokens. The tokens, named KDB4, will entitle their holders to a share of 80% of the gross profits generated from Knight Dragon’s Building 4. The 191-unit tower is part of the Upper Riverside development, an apartment complex within the company’s landmark Greenwich Peninsula project. Knight Dragon estimates that KDB4 will be worth £140 million ($172 million), but it has yet to confirm the tokens’ drop date. Hinduja brothers find a historical link to Buckingham Palace through their new London home

June 2, 2022 by www.moneycontrol.com

Carlton House Terrace overlooks The Mall and St James’ Park in London. The Hinduja brothers now occupy Nos 13-16 in the eastern terrace. (Photo: Danish Khan) In 2006, the Hinduja brothers bought 13-16 Carlton House Terrace for £58 million. They spent another £50 million on renovating the 67,000 sq. ft home which was formally opened in 2011. Over 300 people were invited to the housewarming party, but it was a few more years before the Hindujas moved in completely. The family was reluctant to leave their more modest 25,000 sq. ft abode - just opposite Carlton House Terrace - where they had lived for over 30 years. The four brothers Srichand, Gopichand, Prakash and Ashok who control the Hinduja Group do believe in lucky charms. But now the 25-bedroom property, which comprises four interconnected six-storey Georgian Houses, designed by architect John Nash with its classical cornices, French polished timber, and ceiling roses is where they host the high and the mighty. It is easy … [Read more...] about Hinduja brothers find a historical link to Buckingham Palace through their new London home

Behind The Scenes: Nhow London Brings An Eclectic Take On The City

June 27, 2022 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin A riot of colours, irreverent nods towards the royal family and rainbow-hued hotel-room doors (inspired by Notting Hill’s houses) – nhow London harnesses all the joy and quirks of British culture. A short walk from Angel or Old Street tube stations, the hotel is found on the fringes of Shoreditch. Entering the lobby space from the urban sprawl is like peering into a kaleidoscope. The open-plan space has a warehouse feel, with its vast space and high ceilings. It is filled with mismatched groups of chairs and sofas, covered in House of Hackney fabrics, graphic printed rugs and oversized pop art adorning the walls. At its heart is a neon yellow bar, ideal for late-night cocktails, which merges into the all-day eaterie. The design by interior architects Project Orange has fun and optimism at its heart. Having opened just before the pandemic, its ‘reinvention’ of the modern hotel offers a ‘hyper-real’ vibe which feels … [Read more...] about Behind The Scenes: Nhow London Brings An Eclectic Take On The City

Mixing It: As Part Of London Climate Action Week, Reset Connect Provides A Forum For Founders To Make Connections

June 26, 2022 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin It’s tempting to think that we are in a period of transition. A society that once burned fossil fuels with profligate enthusiasm is now on its way to a greener, climate-friendly future. In reality, the period of transition has barely begun. Net-zero targets have been set and international agreements signed but now the world is faced with turning good intentions into actions at a time when there are still record amounts of carbon in the atmosphere. So the question is, how can you make effective progress along the road to net-zero in a way that is fair and workable? That's a question posed by Reset Connect , a two-day conference, networking event and exhibition taking place this week as part of London Climate Action Week . And as organiser Duncan Reid explains, entrepreneurs are an important part of the mix. I’m speaking to Reid a few days before Reset Connect opens its doors (June 28/29) and as he explains, it’s an … [Read more...] about Mixing It: As Part Of London Climate Action Week, Reset Connect Provides A Forum For Founders To Make Connections

Boost for luxury London real estate prices as Russians locked in

June 29, 2022 by www.thejakartapost.com

Carolyn Cohn and Kirstin Ridley (Reuters) (The Jakarta Post) PREMIUM London   ● Wed, June 29 2022 The war in Ukraine is making it hard for even unsanctioned Russians to sell exclusive residential property in the United Kingdom, adding to a shortage of supply that has helped drive up house prices in prime locations, real estate sources say. But the 4-month-old invasion of Ukraine, which Russia calls a special military operation, has prompted the UK to slap sanctions on more than 1,100 Russians it says have ties to the Kremlin, spreading unease and freezing house sales in so-called Londongrad, agents say. to Read Full Story SUBSCRIBE NOW Starting from IDR 55,500/month Unlimited access to our web and app content e-Post daily digital … [Read more...] about Boost for luxury London real estate prices as Russians locked in
