Carlsbad – A Great Destination For Golf And Much More
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin I went to Carlsbad for golf. I came back wowed by the town and its many other attractions. Carlsbad sits between San Diego and Los Angeles in the great weather epicenter of coastal Southern California. In the golf industry it’s known as the Silicon Valley of the sport, because so many of the big golf club manufactures are based here. For the traveling golf public it is home to two acclaimed destination resorts, the luxury Park Hyatt Aviara and the historic Omni La Costa Resort & Spa, host to many high-profile PGA tour events and other championships. There is also other great golf in the area. But not having kids, I had no idea that Carlsbad was home to Legoland , perhaps its biggest attraction, and one of the first things I saw as I headed to the tee. I didn’t know it had a frozen in time beach town with great atmosphere. I did not know the area is acclaimed for its hiking trails and miles of stunning beaches. … [Read more...] about Carlsbad – A Great Destination For Golf And Much More
Transcending The Layers Of Leadership Identity
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Dr. Gregory Stebbins is the Founder and Master Coach at PeopleSavvy. He is a member of the American Psychological Association. If we choose not to take the time to develop our self-awareness, we might have an event that shakes the roots of our leadership identity. These events can be emotional, employment-related or involve family life. Echoes of this shaking may cause us to reorder our … [Read more...] about Transcending The Layers Of Leadership Identity
Ten Maxims To Take To Heart For 2023
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Sara Ratner, President of Government Programs, Nomi Health . Last January, I published "10 Maxims To Take To Heart In 2022" — a collection of advice that resonated with me over the years, coupled with my own lived experience. Many in my network asked me to share a new list this year. As we begin 2023, I am reflecting on last year’s insights, events and conversations. In this article, I've created another list for fellow business leaders to contemplate. 1. Play the long game. Missed expectations and disappointments are unavoidable. Colleges must decline many qualified students, but those same students go on to achieve amazing things at other institutions. Organizations must reject job applicants, most … [Read more...] about Ten Maxims To Take To Heart For 2023
