More anti-government protests in Bangkok today, day 2 of no-confidence debate
Police in Bangkok are preparing for more anti-government protests today, with 2,250 officers on duty to patrol rallies by 3 different groups. Today is day 2 of the no-confidence debate against the government, with protests planned by Ratsadorn Taliban, Ramkhamhaeng for Democracy, and Thalugas, with each group meeting in different areas of the capital. According to a Bangkok Post report, Thalugas will assemble at the Din Daeng intersection, scene of several violent clashes with police in recent weeks, while Ratsadorn Taliban will gather at the Lat Phrao intersection at 2pm, and Ramkhamhaeng for Democracy will rally outside parliament at 3pm. Piya Tawichai from the Metropolitan Police Bureau has issued a warning that those participating in the protests could face charges for violating the emergency decree and the Communicable Disease Control Act. 1,892 new Covid cases, 22 more deaths

(Photo: Apichart Jinakul) The country registered 1,892 more Covid-19 cases and 22 new fatalities during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced on Sunday morning. This compared with 2,272 new cases and 23 coronavirus-related fatalities reported on Saturday morning. There were 1,888 local cases and four imported cases. On Saturday, 1,874 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus. Since the pandemic started in early 2020, there have been 4,499,044 Covid-19 cases, including 2,275,609 cases this year, with 4,447,266 complete recoveries to date. The accumulated death toll stood at 30,467 since the beginning of the pandemic, including 8,769 so far this year. PTT app to cut food queues
Mr Somyot introduces the new service which was officially launched last week. PTT Oil and Retail Business Plc (OR) has teamed up with a startup to launch a QueQ mobile application to help motorists manage their queues and reduce the time it takes to buy food and beverages at PTT petrol stations. The app also aims to facilitate delivery service providers which have to deal with a number of online food and drink orders. QueQ can be used with Pin Tho Pump, a new food takeaway and delivery service, as well as other food and coffee shops at PTT stations. After placing purchase orders, people can pick them up at petrol stations or through delivery services. Somyot Kongprawet, OR's senior executive vice-president for non-oil retail business, said the app is expected to be of most benefit to motorists who do not want to waste their time by waiting in a long queue.
