The synagogue applied for a federal grant to better protect that area. The money, $150,000, was approved in September but only arrived in late March. Thousands of motorists have been caught by speed cameras on the Orwell Bridge and on the A12 Picture: ARCHANT Cracking down on speeding is not a money making exercise – that’s the message from police as it’s revealed thousands of motorists are still being clocked by cameras. More than 2,000 speeding offences were logged on the Orwell Bridge from January to July, with almost 7,000 recorded by the A12 average cameras.
