Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Maybe it was the opportunity for so many in the music industry to comfortably share the same room again. Maybe it was the soul-stirring beats. Or maybe it was just the infectious exuberance of the two men who've been embodying the term bromance since long before bromance was a thing. Whatever the case, the celebration of Motown founder Berry Gordy and legendary Motown songwriter and artist Smokey Robinson—who share one of the most aspirational friendships in entertainment history—as MusiCares Persons of the Year was a joyous affair. Dillon Brooks, Donovan Mitchell Ejected After Throwing Ball At Grizzlies’ Wing
(CTN News) – Over the last few seasons, Dillon Brooks has gained a bit of a reputation for being one of the more aggressive players on the team. It is well known that the Memphis Grizzlies winger was ejected from a playoff game during the last postseason for a cheap shot he committed against Golden State Warriors guard Gary Payton II, and on Thursday, he was involved in an altercation with another opposing player. Another Cleveland Cavaliers player, Donovan Mitchell, was the one to get hit by the ball this time. When Dillon Brooks was preparing to make a layup in the third quarter with just under six minutes remaining in the game, Evan Mobley stepped in and altered Dillon Brooks’ attempt. He ended up wandering out of bounds. Mitchell was trying to save the ball by grabbing it with his hands, but Dillon Brooks, who was on the ground, hit him in the groin with the ball. There was a fight between the two teams as Mitchell tossed the ball off Brooks, who was still … [Read more...] about Dillon Brooks, Donovan Mitchell Ejected After Throwing Ball At Grizzlies’ Wing

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin OK, the NBA is entering the danger zone. Or shall we say the fight zone? Whatever you want to call this explosion out of nowhere of brawls around the league, it’s not good for an industry that made a record $10 billion last season after nearly vanishing off the face of the earth during the 1970s due to, well, brawls around the league. To translate: These fines and suspensions are too low. Way too low. First, about these knuckleheads . . . Five players were ejected Friday night during a game in Minneapolis after they unofficially began auditioning for a career in mixed martial arts in front of the Orlando Magic bench. It began with Timberwolves guard Austin Rivers and Magic center Mo Bamba huffing and puffing at … [Read more...] about Adam Silver, NBA Bosses Need To Put A Choke Hold On These Fights
