17 cartons of Cadbury chocolates were stolen. (Representative image) In a bizarre robbery, around 150 cartons of Cadbury chocolates were allegedly stolen by a gang of thieves from a godown in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow. Rajendra Singh Sidhu, the owner of the Cadbury godown is a well-known distributor of the popular chocolate brand in the state capital. Some boxes of biscuits and a video recorder of CCTVs were also reportedly among the loot. The businessman has filed a police complaint where he said that the godown in the Chinhat area was actually his old house which was temporarily being used as a godown. He added that all the stock stored in the house was to be distributed to retailers. On Tuesday, Sidhu received a call from his old house’s neighbour who informed him about a broken lock at his house. Hextar Global, which bought the land in Klang in October 2005 for RM12.58 million, will lease back the assets after the sale. The company explains that the RM27 million sale is to unlock asset value and reduce its funding requirements. Hyosung Group Chairman Cho Hyun-joon Hyosung TNC, the Hyosung Group's spandex manufacturer, saw nearly 500 percent growth in net last year as demand boomed and the company's increased manufacturing capacity fulfilled it. Hyosung TNC, 20.3 percent controlled by Hyosung Holdings, announced net profit of 1 trillion won for 2021 Wednesday, up 499 percent over a year earlier. Sales were 8.5 trillion won, up 66.5 percent, and operating profit 1.4 trillion won, a 434.1 percent rise. Hyosung TNC made aggressive expansion of factories overseas since 2020 despite the pandemic. It expanded factories in Turkey and Brazil last year and built a new one in China.
