The ZS will be launched in January and is expected to have a base price tag of Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom). Here’s how the two silent SUVs fare against each other.The ZS is 134mm longer, 9mm wider and 74mm taller than the Kona. However, the Kona has a 21mm longer wheelbase than its British rival. The ZS has a bigger battery pack of 44.5kWh, as opposed to Kona’s 39.2kWh pack. The ZS also makes 143PS of maximum power, which is 7PS more than Kona’s 136PS. However, Kona’s motor makes 395Nm of torque, which is 52Nm more than the 343Nm of the ZS.The Kona takes 9.7 seconds to accelerate from 0-100kmph, while the ZS does it in 8.5 seconds. Korean automobile manufacturer Kia has scheduled the QYI compact SUV as its launch after the Carnival MPV. It is expected to be based on the Hyundai Venue’s platform and will be pitted against the Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Vitara, among others.Dubbed the QYI, it is expected to borrow its aesthetic elements from other Kia cars such as the Seltos. It is also expected to borrow the 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine from the Seltos. Hyundai’s i20 premium hatchback has been around for a while and is due for an upgrade. After the launch of the Elite i20 facelift in 2018, the Korean carmaker is expected to unveil the latest i20 at the upcoming Auto Expo, followed by a launch in mid-2020.The car was recently spotted under testing in a heavy camouflage, which reveals some of its updates. It gets a brand new set of dual-tone alloy wheels, split LED tail lamps and a number plate fixed in the rear bumper. Ahead of the Auto Expo which will be held in 2020, Skoda has revealed details of the upcoming Superb sedan. The updated sedan gets aesthetic and mechanical updates and will be revealed at the Auto Expo.The sedan will be equipped with a brand-new, BSVI-compliant 2-litre TSI petrol engine and will discontinue its diesel powertrains for the next generation. The company will also discontinue the Superb’s current engine options, which include the 1.8-litre TSI and 2.0-litre TDI, as they will not be updated to meet BSVI emission norms.The new engine is offered in two states of tune in the international market. The lower trim makes 190PS of maximum power and 320Nm of peak torque, while the higher trim makes 272PS and 350Nm.
