Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin So far, the announced $3.8 billion merger agreement between JetBlue and Spirit Airline s has not set the airline world on fire. The threat of the Department of Justice killing the deal because of competitive issues, along with the disastrous performance of all the airlines (more than 100,000 flights cancelled as of July 16) are leading concerns. Wall Street seems underwhelmed. JetBlue stock traded around $8.30 a share on August 1 when the deal was announced. It closed out the week at $8.68, near the bottom of its 52-week range of $7.87 to $16.64. To add insult to injury, prominent Wall Street airline industry analyst Helane Becker of Cowen reduced her price target for Jet Blue, from $14 to $10. Bank of America Securities kept a Hold rating on JetBlue witha price target of $10. Analyst consensus was a Hold with an average price target of $8.75, a seven-cent gain from today’s levels. Ouch. Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Since she opened their first property in 1999 with her husband Phil, turning the family’s South Africa safari lodge into Royal Malewane , Liz Biden has created hotels known for her exuberant, unique design and top of the line service: Birkenhead House waterfront in Hermanus; La Residence in the Cape Winelands town of Franschhoek; the art filled tower The Silo Hotel in Cape Town. But she continued to add on to the Royal Malewane lodges in the private Thornybush reserve next to Kruger National Park. The designs in the 8 freestanding suites (six with one bedroom, one with two and a four bedroom house) mix furnishings that would look right at home in city Presidential Suites with local African artifacts and art. But it’s the bold colors that you notice first starting with intense versions of the … [Read more...] about This New, Sumptuous Safari Lodge Is The Place To Stay In South Africa Now
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin If there's one hotel that's synonymous with Saint-Tropez, it's the Byblos . The sleepy fishing village depicted in the paintings of artists like Paul Signac and Henri Matisse was first put on the map by the 50s movie And God Created Woman starring blonde bombshell Brigitte Bardot. And when the Byblos opened its doors 10 years later, it sealed Saint-Tropez’s status as France’s summer party capital thanks to a cast of A-list guests, from Mick Jagger who celebrated his wedding here, to Grace Jones, Lauren Bacall, Leonardo DiCaprio and Beyoncé, to name but a few. However, the hotel's impressive roll call of celebrity names isn't the only reason you should make the Byblos your port of call when holidaying in Saint-Tropez. 1. Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Steadily and stealthily over the past several months, many of your colleagues have been “ghost quitting,” which means they aren’t leaving their jobs, but they're mentally checking out. Some of these workplace specters are unhappy and would love for nothing more than to quit outright, but they may be afraid of the attendant risks. In today’s environment, it may be safer to stay put, wait and see how things go, and quietly bide your time until things turn around. These coasters are easy to spot: They do the bare minimum amount of work to get by. They’ll finish their assignments, but the end product is mediocre, at best. They’re in the office by the crack of 9:35 a.m., hoping no one notices. When spotted sliding in, they offer a vague, nonchalant excuse for being late. Two-hour lunch breaks are standard and they're in the elevator heading out for the day before 5 p.m. Their overall performance is just … [Read more...] about How To Know If Your Co-Workers Are Ghost Quitting
