Business Buyers – Stop Complaining About Brokers
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Having worked with prospective business buyers and sellers for more than thirty years, one of the most frequent complaints I hear is about business brokers. It is common for buyers to bemoan the theory that business brokers do not respond to inquiries, they want an offer in place before they provide meaningful information, the add-backs that they propose do not make sense, and on and on the list goes. Yes, indeed it is true that many brokers are guilty of these infractions, but certainly not all. More importantly what I have learned is that buyers play an equal role, if not greater in the deficiencies of the business buying process. Understanding Their Role Business brokers do not represent buyers; unless they have been engaged and are being paid by them. They represent the seller or the deal. They are not your advisor. Their role is to provide information, answer questions, act as a buffer between the parties, and … [Read more...] about Business Buyers – Stop Complaining About Brokers
A Revolutionary Move For A Better Future
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Harvard economist Raj Chetty is doing something remarkable, and it ought to be a model for how the government and the private sector can improve the lives of American citizens. Series: Ryan Critique Of Poverty Programs Sparked Usual Battle Over Spending
Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin While the world was a different place in 2014 when Congressman and recent Vice-Presidential candidate Paul Ryan emerged with his analysis and critique of the War on Poverty and the vast array of programs that emerged from it. What hasn’t seemed to change in the intervening decade is that the discussion over approaches to solving poverty still revolve around a dichotomy between approaches that rely on government programs and interventions and those that lean more on economic growth in the private sector. This characterization might be dismissed as overly simplistic, but the discussions then and now about housing, for example, almost always end up about money; do people in poverty need the benefits of more spending on government funding housing or the benefit of lower prices created by a more competitive market.
