Koch Network Is Latest High-Profile Conservative Group To Oppose Trump’s 2024 Campaign

February 5, 2023 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Topline The conservative political advocacy network backed by billionaire Charles Koch said Sunday the country “must move past the current political situation” and “turn the page on the past several years,” a statement largely interpreted to mean the influential group will oppose former President Donald Trump in his bid for the White House in 2024. Key Facts In a three-page memo —which did not mention Trump by name—Emily Seidel, the CEO of Americans For Prosperity and Americans For Prosperity Action, wrote the “Republican Party is nominating bad candidates who are advocating for things that go against core American principles,” and noted “the American people are rejecting them.” Seidel said “we need to turn the page on the past,” and the “best thing” for the U.S. “would be to have a president in 2025 who represents a new chapter.” The group will endorse one candidate by the summer, a source told the … [Read more...] about Koch Network Is Latest High-Profile Conservative Group To Oppose Trump’s 2024 Campaign

Netflix Account Sharing May Still Be Safe For The Time Being

February 5, 2023 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Netflix has plans to crack down on those subscribers who share their account with others. Earlier this week it looked like that crackdown was coming soon, causing some panic among sharers. However, it now seems there may be a respite for password sharers, for now, anyway. MORE FROM FORBES Apple Watch Ultra 2: New Leak Claims Dramatic Price Jolt By David Phelan Mind you, it will come and Netflix has previously said that it will arrive before the end of March. Kate O’Flaherty has a good explainer, here on Forbes. On Wednesday, Netflix posted guidelines on its U.S. and other websites which showed what the crackdown will involve, implying the restrictions were imminent, if not live. The page was later taken down. As reported in The Guardian , Netflix said, “For a brief time yesterday, a help center article containing information that is only applicable to Chile, Costa Rica, and Peru went live in other … [Read more...] about Netflix Account Sharing May Still Be Safe For The Time Being

Netflix ‘Squid Game’ Reality TV Show Contestants Shocked That ‘Squid Game’ Isn’t Actually Fun

February 5, 2023 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin New reports are emerging from the sets of Netflix’s reality TV Squid Game show that paint a dire picture. Contestants report that the filming conditions for the show, based on the hit Korean Netflix drama, are often harsh and cold. “This is not a Bear Grylls survival show,” a contestant named John told Variety about one grueling filming session that ended up being exceptionally chilly. “If they had told us it was going to be that cold, no one would have gone through with it.” 456 contestants are competing for a $4.56 million prize, with each game “killing” off a bunch of hopefuls. For $4.56 million, I’m pretty sure plenty of people would have gone through with it, cold be damned. John was eliminated in the first round, however, along with roughly 227 other contestants. This is very similar to the first round of Squid Game, in which 255 of the 456 contestants were killed playing Red Light, Green Light. … [Read more...] about Netflix ‘Squid Game’ Reality TV Show Contestants Shocked That ‘Squid Game’ Isn’t Actually Fun

Three Things That ‘Armored Core VI’ Really Needs To Get Right

February 5, 2023 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Now that Armored Core VI is very much a real thing, it’s worth looking back at the series as a whole and what this new game needs to get right. To give a bit of personal context, I have been playing the Armored Core games since the 1997 original and have finished every game in the series . I know these games very well and have a great deal of affection for them. As such, I really want Armored Core VI to do well and to reinvigorate the series not only for longtime fans but especially for newer players that have yet to learn the joys of being a mecha pilot. With all this in mind, here are three things that I think Armored Core VI really needs to get right in order for the game to succeed. Controls And Camera While many will say that Elden Ring is hard, almost no-one complains about the controls. This is because Elden Ring’s controls are both intuitive and modern. However, if you were to … [Read more...] about Three Things That ‘Armored Core VI’ Really Needs To Get Right
