In the US, thousands of people are injured or killed at work each year because of the dangerous nature of their jobs. According to a report from jobs site CareerCast, "some of the most vital careers to upholding and maintaining the very fabric of American society are also among the most dangerous." Take EMTs and firefighters, for example. "These professions are tailored for the brave, those willing to sacrifice their own health and safety for the well being of others," the CareerCast report says. When we combined the scores to create an overall ranking of business schools, Harvard didn't make the top 20. Harvard may boast one of the most famous business schools in the world, but it doesn't impress some recruiters. Headhunters scored the Ivy League university poorly on Bloomberg Businessweek's "Best B-Schools" ranking of full-time MBA programs. Recruiters scored 30 leading business schools on a scale from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest).
