The actress opened up about the incident on her Instagram page earlier today, Oct. 3. She noted that it was the first time she experienced having her cellphone stolen from her inside a car. The thief managed to take her phone through a window she had left open while she was using it. Morales added that she was in front of a Phoenix gas station with security cameras installed when the theft happened. After the man snatched her cellphone, Morales quickly got out of the car and chased him. While she was pursuing the thief, she met a bystander who supposedly knew something about the incident. First look inside the mandarin
by Anthony Lark “Let’s say goodbye to all that stale pretence and manufactured pomp” Until the collective nightmare that was 2020, many of the so-called high-end hotels had a reputation for trying to convince guests to pay for often dingy guestrooms lacking any real views inside an otherwise ornate structure with a storied, celebrated past, where the first impression was a check in often akin to applying for a bank loan. Defined as “luxury”, in the good old days they got away with it. Over the thirty years I spent running Amanpuri and Trisara on Phuket, I heard hundreds of people complain of feeling ripped off at “legendary” and “iconic” hotels by staff that rudely treated them as anything but guests. How many of us did not tip the head waiter after dinner on the first night, to return the next evening and find ourselves stashed at a table by the kitchen door, or getting ushered past the prime and utterly empty deck chairs (with a book on them) by an indifferent pool boy … [Read more...] about What has the pandemic taught hotels about luxury. Planet 13 Holdings ( OTC:PLNH.F ) is a cannabis dispensary company that plans to expand its presence dramatically in the coming years, and it has established itself as a major brand in the Las Vegas market already. In this Fool Live video clip, recorded on Dec. 9 , Fool.com contributors Matt Frankel, Jason Hall, and Marc Rapport discuss why Planet 13 has a big advantage as it grows. Matt Frankel: Hogfather [a listener] says on Planet 13, "Do you think it's a real advantage to having the superstore?" I'd love to get your perspective on this as well. Both of you. "I would see it as a liability to have such a large location with high overhead and reinvestment requirements. When you can instead sell in store a ton of pot in tiny stores" -- his word not mine -- "but they're widely distributed." We say cannabis on this show. But I would say that I think the superstore could be a liability except for two things. One, it's a tourist attraction based on where it's … [Read more...] about Planet 13 Holdings Has a Key Advantage Over Its Rivals
There has been no shortage of hype surrounding cannabis stocks in recent years, but the reality is that not all marijuana stocks are great investment opportunities. In this Fool Live video clip, recorded on Dec. 9 , Fool.com contributors Matt Frankel and Jason Hall discuss Planet 13 Holdings ( OTC:PLNH.F ) and why Frankel is so bullish on it. Matt Frankel: This is a company called Planet 13 Holdings. They trade over the counter, but they are a legitimate business, unlike a lot of the marijuana companies that you'll see. If you click on a random Internet article that says three marijuana stocks, chances are they're not the best businesses. But this one actually is. They are a physical place. They operate distribution, a big dispensary, they operate some smaller neighborhood stores, they have their own brands, they grow and cultivate their own products, they have their own brands that they sell through third-party distributors. This is not a big company, but these … [Read more...] about Here’s the Only Marijuana Stock I’d Buy Right Now
SUPERIOR — The delicate paw impressions in the snow-dusted path leading to Dave Crawford’s burnt-down home in Superior’s Original Town stopped the long-time animal activist in mid-stride. “Those look like squirrel tracks — could be the ones I used to watch from my window every day,” he said, scanning the scorched and denuded trees lining the alley beyond his incinerated garage, a smile sneaking across his grizzled face. “That’s the best thing I’ve seen all day.” It’s through animals that the 60-year-old Iowa native takes inventory of his blackened and flattened neighborhood, pointing out in a 360-degree sweep which creatures survived and which perished in the Marshall fire. Two dogs were rescued from houses across West William Street from his, but a block to the west, a tortoise, turtle and cockatiel weren’t so lucky. “It was heartbreaking — it wakes me up at night,” said Crawford, who grabbed his two cats before escaping the advancing flames. “To think how utterly dependent they … [Read more...] about Saving animals is his life’s work.
