May 3, 2022 by www.moneycontrol.com

Trade Watchlist Portfolio Message Set Alert live bse live nse live Volume Todays L/H More × Motilal Oswal's research report on Shriram City Union Finance SCUF reported a healthy disbursement momentum despite seasonality (relative to 3Q of the fiscal year). Product mix change in favor of personal loans has aided yields while improvement in borrowing costs has allowed SCUF to deliver healthy spreads/margins. Asset quality exhibited significant improvement with GS3 declining ~100bp QoQ without having to resort to elevated write-offs (like in SHTF) and is perhaps the best in the last six years. Shriram Housing continues to demonstrate a lot of promise in all aspects ranging from AUM growth, margins and asset quality. Pullback likely as sentiment turns extremely bearish. These 19 stocks are bargain buys now

June 25, 2022 by www.moneycontrol.com

The market seems to have seen extreme bearishness after the recent fall way below even its March lows, indicating the Nifty50 index moved near the oversold territory, experts said. A rising concern over inflation and fears of a recession because of rapid tightening of monetary policies weighed on the sentiment. The March 2022 low was 15,671. The Nifty50 plunged nearly 18 percent from its record high of 18,604 on June 19 last year, to 15,183 levels on June 17 this year. Even from its June high (current month), it lost nearly 10 percent, followed by recent recovery of 3.4 percent from 15,183. ICICI Direct highlighted four factors that clearly indicated that we are in an oversold territory, indicating more than 9 percent recovery from the recent lows. Only around 15 percent stocks traded above 200 day moving average in the recent fall, which means around 85 percent stocks fell below 200 DMAs, which clearly signifies extreme pessimism in the market. Technical experts usually … [Read more...] about Pullback likely as sentiment turns extremely bearish. These 19 stocks are bargain buys now

Not every candidate has taken a clear position yet, but we read the tea leaves a little bit on the main Republican and Democratic candidates. Instead, this article is specific to proposals around lowering the ballooning cost of higher education. Photo Credit: Getty Getty Republican: Donald Trump In general, Republicans don’t believe the government (federal or state) should have much of a role in funding public higher education, and see responsibility for costs as falling entirely on the … [Read more...] about The 2020 Presidential Candidates’ Proposals On Lowering College Costs

4 Reasons To Fire Your Parents’ Advisor When Receiving An Inheritance

June 23, 2022 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin The advice that helps your parents build wealth likely won't be the financial guidance to help you maximize your inheritance well into the future. Many people who receive a large inheritance find a new financial advisor who fits their current financial planning needs better. There were probably times when your parents' financial advisor was great for them but terrible for you. I have a gay financial planning client whose parents' advisor is homophobic. That relationship will not likely be a good fit going forward (to say the least). I have also spoken to many women who recounted being mansplained by their parents' male advisor. That, and many other reasons, led one successful businesswoman to find a new financial advisor when she received her inheritance. Research suggests that 70 to 90% of people who inherit significant wealth, immediately fire the financial advisor who worked for their parents. I have been … [Read more...] about 4 Reasons To Fire Your Parents’ Advisor When Receiving An Inheritance

3 Investing Mistakes To Avoid During A Stock Market Correction

May 17, 2022 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Investors are getting hit with scary news and stock market volatility they haven't seen since the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic. There are a few significant and problematic topics in the news headlines ranging from Russia invading Ukraine, the ongoing global COVID pandemic, and inflation, to name a few. These negative headlines could lead you to make some costly investing mistakes. If you are a day trader or speculate on the hottest stocks of the day, you should likely make major adjustments to your investment portfolio based on short-term news. On the other hand, if you invest for long-term goals like retirement or financial freedom, making significant adjustments to your financial plan based on daily news will greatly reduce the odds of reaching your various financial goals. Doing nothing may seem counterintuitive, but it is often the best course of action for those with a well-thought-out financial plan and diverse … [Read more...] about 3 Investing Mistakes To Avoid During A Stock Market Correction

Daily Voice | With valuations no longer cheap, volatility could recur: Prateek Agrawal of ASK Investment Managers

March 25, 2022 by www.moneycontrol.com

Prateek Agrawal is the Business Head & CIO at ASK Investment Managers “Overall, I would stay focussed on earnings and valuations and policy making in India rather than what is happening elsewhere. This should be especially true because the influence of foreign capital on the Indian market is reducing,"  Prateek Agrawal - Business Head and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of ASK Investment Managers, told Moneycontrol in an interview. Large FPI selling has been readily absorbed by MFs, insurance, Pension and PF funds and this is a structural change that has taken place, he believes. Agrawal's preferred valuation methodology, at present, is to look at 5-year PE averages and earnings yield to bond yield indicators. "These indicators point to an index target of 18,250 to 18,500 over 2022. This leaves just about 7 percent upside from the present levels," says Agrawal, who has over 27 years of experience in capital markets, with long, distinguished stints in sell side research, … [Read more...] about Daily Voice | With valuations no longer cheap, volatility could recur: Prateek Agrawal of ASK Investment Managers
