The ‘Holy Grail’: Here’s A List Of The Famous People In Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘Black Book’

July 6, 2020 by dailycaller.com

With Jeffrey Epstein’s confidante and one-time girlfriend now in federal custody, many of the rich and famous who rubbed elbows with the duo are facing renewed scrutiny. Princes and presidents have appeared in photos dating back nearly two decades. But what was described by Epstein’s former house manager Alfredo Rodriguez as the “holy grail” in revealing the vast child-sex network is the little black book that was obtained by the FBI, which Gawker published in 2015. The address book included famous actors, musicians, politicians, and other exorbitantly wealthy people who are household names. It also included underage victims in several states and countries, according to Gawker, who were listed under the rubric of “massage.” Some names were also circled by Rodriguez, who died during an 18-month prison sentence after he was charged with obstruction of justice for trying to sell the black book for $50,000 to an attorney representing Epstein’s victims. In this … [Read more...] about The ‘Holy Grail’: Here’s A List Of The Famous People In Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘Black Book’

Famous northern Thai dish declared world’s best soup

August 6, 2022 by thethaiger.com

A famous northern Thai dish has been declared the world’s best soup by the foodie platform TasteAtlas.com. This was part of its list of “50 Best Soups in the World” published on July 25. The dish, called Khao Soi, includes red curry soup and meat, usually chicken, and egg noodles. It is then topped with crunchy noodles, fresh lime, pickled cabbage, shallots, and chilis. Khao Soi is thought to have been brought to northern Thailand by Chinese Muslim traders from Yunnan. The traders journeyed through Burma and Laos along the Golden Triangle trading route before arriving in northern Thailand in the 19th and 20th centuries. The soup for Khao Soi is made from coconut milk and red curry paste. The spiciness varies based on how much curry paste is added. Adding green herbs such as cilantro, as well as lime, against the red soup also makes the dish more colourful. The word Khao Soi means ‘cut rice,’ even though the dish is made with noodles. It is believed that Khao Soi is a … [Read more...] about Famous northern Thai dish declared world’s best soup

August 10, 2022 by www.forbes.com

Share to Twitter Share to Linkedin Topline As rapid inflation continues to fuel recession fears, new data showed consumer prices rose 8.5% in the 12 months ending in July—slowing down for the first time in months in a potential sign that the Federal Reserve's efforts to cool the economy may finally be working. Key Facts Economists were expecting prices to rise 8.7% on an annual basis after they spiked 9.1% in June. Overall prices were unchanged from June—better than economist expectations calling for a 0.2% increase and much lower than the previous month’s increase of 1.3%, according to data released by the Labor Department on Wednesday. The better-than-feared data was the result of a steep 7.7% decline in gasoline prices, which helped offset increases in food and shelter prices, the government said. Core inflation, which excludes volatile food and energy prices, rose 0.3% against an expectation of 0.5%; prices for airline fares, used … [Read more...] about Inflation Spiked 8.5% In July—Slowing For The First Time In Months As Gas Prices Fall From Recent Highs
